Tickets go on sale on Monday. One of, or the biggest gaming event, E3 was not open to public before. It was press only, and people in the industry that had a booth.

But now, it will finally be open to public.

Quote

Tickets will go on sale on February 13th for $250 (early-bird discounted tickets will be available for $150), and will be limited to 15,000. Last year the ESA tested the waters with a public event located outside of the Los Angeles convention center

However, tickets are limited. Only 15,000 of them will be available, and the price is not cheap. $250 US per person for the whole event. There is a $150 early bird discount, if you are fast.

E3 will run from June 13th to the 15th in LA.. And tickets are available for purchase through E3 official website.

The announcement comes from E3 own Twitter:

Source: http://www.theverge.com/2017/2/8/14548376/e3-2017-open-ticket-sales-public-february-13

So, because $250 US is pocket change for us, how many will you buying?

But seriously, I think it will be quite exciting. I expect mostly big YouTubers to go, as they have the funds to get there, and I am sure they even get sponsors to offset the plane ticket and hotel cost.

Huh, I didn't even know it was open to the public (before)..

By the way, I was confused for 1 second when I read "Only 15,000$ of them will be available" :P

Oops typo. Fixed! Thanks!

E3 was not open before to public... at least officially. I read once that some employees that were attending booths were bringing in their family, and sometimes friends.. probably passed as "employees" of the company attending.

I want Bethesda to announce a new Elder Scrolls Game, where the story is to go to Sheogorath, give him some potent LSD, and convince him Molag Bal stole his Wabbajack, then hand him a golden dildo, and sell tickets for the biggest grudge match in Elder Scrolls history.

Most of these events are for press only, but it's nice they let consumers check them out too. Computex lets consumers enter only the last day and you must be over 18 to enter. Nice thing about it is, you can buy some of the stuffs they are displaying at the event if they decide to sell it.

Actually, if it's anything like the PlayStation Experience, it'll basically be like a theme park: you will stand in line for several hours for anything remotely popular

I kind of didn't like that.

Yeah. I wouldn't want to go. Too much queuing and too little 'uptime'

Tempting, but maybe next year. I only live a few hours away in Palm Springs, but would need to plan and save longer. Hotels would be a bitch during this event.

My bet is we won't see a new ES game until at least 2020 from the indications Tod Howard has given.

Would be nice to get some swag though.

If I were to go though, I'd probably hang around the show room floor during the press events because 1. lol good luck getting in 2. less people on the floor.

I thought it used to be open for a number of years. And then like in 2008ish?? They closed to press only.

Just remember that he lied about his height. Among other things.

But if he was wearing an RGB tuxedo would you be impressed enough to overlook his SHORTcomings?
