What is your favorite store for computer parts?

Fireball927

PCCaseGear(.com) down in Melbourne and Australia Computer Online (computeronline.com.au) up in Sydney are my main 2 go-to sites for buying parts online here in East Oz.

The one big problem I have with PCCG's site - it's a pain in the bloody arse to change your damn contact information/shipping address through the main My Account system: You have to be in the middle of a bloody order and right near finishing it to change your damn address for that order and not your account.

Im in the US, so i mainly use Newegg (components), MnPcTech (modding supplies), and Amazon, although newegg's main shipment center is pretty far from where I live :(  (I also use Micro Center, but that's a local store and i hate their website)

What is your favorite website and/or place to get computer parts. I personally like Newegg because they do a great job with shipping. They also have a great setup for their wishlist. The website is well layed out unlike amazon. I'd like to hear your opinion on favorite websites.

I'm in Canada, so NCIX/DirectCanada and NewEgg. Everything else is basically pure garbage for prices, shipping times, and shipping prices.

MSY, 95% of my gear is from them. If on the rare occasion that none of their stores have what I want, I go to CPL in the city, failing that, it's any online retailer that has what I want and ships to Aus.

I wonder how many more years/decades it will take until Amazon isn't shit in Canada.

That would be great.

Well my main rig is just old and odd ball because it still works for my needs, which was programming and the occasional L4D2 match. Haven't found a reason to upgrade the platform yet. Maybe adding an SSD, but nothing big. All of those parts were new 5 years ago, except for the HDD which was from my previous Pentium 4 system. But the Media Centre in my room and network storage is from the trash. Found a Phenom II X2 based system last year and it works perfectly for media consumption while a beat up Pentium D system is sufficient for storing files.

Bestbuy is pretty good if u want the part ASAP. Otherwise, probably newegg if they have discounts or even Amazon is pretty good too.

For Australia, MSY  is the place to go, after they got sued their customer service is astounding. Best prices in the country.

Newegg because I don't pay tax to them. But their shipping sucks, one time I paid for 3 day shipping on a cpu and didn't get it for 10 days because they bundled it with some RAM I chose free shipping on in an entirely separate order.

Amazon. It has anything I need. If not, Newegg and eBay.

I recently just made a perches on Newegg and loved the information I got back from the compony. Shipping also seemed to work quite well and I would defiantly shop there again. But I want to know, what is your favorite online retailer. Do you find shipping and customer care more important then cheaper prices? Or is there a certain place that you have been shopping at for years?

Let me know, I'm curious.

Here in Norway, If you import stuff and its more than 300kr (nok), or about 35$, you have to double the price in customs, and then +25% extra in taxes. So i buy from Komplett here in Norway (https://www.komplett.no/)
