Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

Got my crappy GTX 970 G1 Gaming to perform well for once. Turns out that it needs the fans set to 100% and the temps kept at no higher than 70oC or else it becomes unstable AF. Its doing OK for a 62.1% ASIC quality GPU (which is apparently higher than 3.3% of other GTX 970 in the GPU-Z database):

Here's my submission for the Unigine Superposition benchmark:

Spoiler

Capture.PNG.f023aba4ade6e0059e92fabbfc82d936.PNG

Just a few points here:

The 3570K is running at 4.2GHz. It doesn't show up in there as it runs through Turbo.

My 970 is running at 1.456GHz all throughout the benchmark.

And finally, my system memory is running at 1333MHz effective.

And if you're wondering about the green number in the screenshot, that's GeForce Experience. It's the frame rate capture.

Screenshots of CPU-Z and GPU-Z respectively:

the formatting with spoilers messed up, can't edit it anymore because instead of BB code I see HTML elements

screw it. not gonna bother...

what I also wanted to add is - my god... Unigine as always - what a beautiful benchmark

edit: I did bother for another 20 minutes and still got rekt by the HTML generator that thinks it's smarter than me, that thinks it know better than me...

Got a feeling something aint quite right with my card, 1070 only getting 88.3 average with a 2126boost clock. (Card being under water peaks at 43C)

Looking at the graph the scenes where it should sky rocket it is actually dropping in GPU useage almost as if it is using Vsync (which is off), like scene 6 when you fly through the sky I see it drop below 60% GPU useage.

I thought of Superposition, but it looks like no 480/580 surpasses the scores achieved on 290/390 in Valley also. At least a couple of Fury Xs do however and save the day. I don't know how far ppl oc their gpus here in general... Looks like my years old score is still pretty high up there amongst AMD. Valley is pretty CPU dependent anyway, some Furys got lower score than a 290. Anyway, I'm going to do some changes to my cooling and see if I could push a bit higher.

But for now, I found a more recent screenshot of single card Valley run, I took while testing some settings.

CPU: I7 3970X @ 5.0 GHz (I think it was)

GPU: Gigabyte R9 290 @ 1320/1700 MHz (1500 core clock shown in Valley is error, sadly)

FPS: 82.5

Score: 3451

1320_1700_ss.thumb.png.5466e4519d71e3a60414fce5a3fcccbd.png

Still not the fastest in 200 series :( That one damn dude with a 290X got higher score with newer cpu and insane memory oc :D

CPU: Intel i7 3970X @ 4.7 GHz  (custom loop)   RAM: Kingston 1866 MHz 32GB DDR3   GPU(s): 2x Gigabyte R9 290OC (custom loop)   Motherboard: Asus P9X79
