I find it hard to believe that farmers won't hire you during the weekend or something. You don't have to be on the payroll, which is the only way your age would have any issue, and they'll often accept help to do the stuff they don't particularly enjoy.

As others have said, you could try odd jobs for neighbors. Put up signs saying you'll do yard work or other similar tasks.

Even construction sites might pay you to scrap out or something of that nature.

If you live in the middle of no where, chances are people have huge lots, and that requires a lot of maintenance.

Well Jokinglyy I'd sat become a drug currier but seriously, funding a PC needs either a steady stream of income (job) or saving up pocket money and Christmas and birthday monies, so have fun with that.

I don't think drug courier is actually a thing :P Dealers usually sell their own stuff.

I know, every thread i start with that link someone says that. the reasons:

a) it looks good

b) i'm going to get a 6600k or 6700k when i can afford it

You're already spending the money on a 6500 only to upgrade later?
I'd just save up a little longer and get the 6600k, it's so close in price to the 6500.

I tried that for my local farms, apparently i cannot legally work for them until i'm 16

I don't believe that.

The Pentium doesn't really loose that much value as opposed to the normal i5's. given the pentium is like £70, it sells 2nd hand for £50-£60, idk what the basic i5's go for because the demand isn't there for the mid range stuff.

The Pentium has trouble running a lot of newer games. 2 cores simply isn't enough for some of them.

I spent £1500 on a gaming PC when I turned 18 as my parents had saved me a little pot of money for university - but I didn't go to university so I splashed all the money on a PC.

Now that I work full time and have a good income... I still wouldn't spent that kind of money on a computer again.

Hell for £1000 you can buy a car.

Really? Making more money is the first time I'd actually consider spending that kind of money on a PC.

Sure, he could buy a car, but how would that make any sense when he doesn't have an income?

Your $900CAD isn't helping even though they're different currencies. Since 900 is close to 1000 which is what OP wants. I was expecting your build to be something like.

Start with a cheaper build and move it up. Like mine, I compromised and spent like $400.

Hey,

I have had this idea of a dream PC of mine for ages now.

This is it: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pMWzkT

I am less than 16 years old and live in England, Kent.

I do have a pc (look at the signature or my profile) it is an all in one pc, so might get about £1000 for it.

But.... The build is more than that.

My parents have already made it clear that they will not fund the build at all.

SO..

How do i get the money, without (preferably) having to compromise on the aesthetics/power of the build i want to make

Thanks,

Ben

Edit: i cannot spell or even english

Damn I feel you. But when I hit the job market holy shit I could buy what I want when I wanted and so much of it. Before that you can't really do much unless you can find grass cutting for neighbor or in winter remove snow.

If you like to configure and build PCs, and you have some skill at it, you could offer to do custom builds for people for a fee.  Starting simple, then working from there.  Main issue you may have is you age if they don't allow contracting with a minor.  And if you can't get a job, then you're limited.

You Only Need 1000 Pounds. If you want it quickly you may be able to ask your parents if they can loan you money, and you will pay them back later. Another idea would be to sell the components of your old computer separately and then ask for higher prices?

How far away from 16 are you? If you're like 14/15 at least in the US there are some places that hire them. Not sure about UK child labor laws though.

Well age can be pretty prohibitive. I've wanted to build a PC since I was 14, I'm nearly 17 and I just got the first part for my PC build today (ordered it on the 23rd) and it won't be awhile (like 2-3 months) until I can afford more parts.
