Unless they tone down textures and dynamic effects significantly then they either need to cap the fps at 30 or remove the dynamic scaling, lower the res on all assets and the render.

 

They'll be able to find some redundant script causing effects to repeat passively in the code or something of that sort triggering massive performance loss which in turn triggers the Dynamic Resolutions script too many times. Long run it'll be fixed or made very rare, It'll likely be a priority bug I wouldn't expect it fixed in the first week.

The fact that devs use dynamic scaling for consoles is hilarious. Maybe you should accept the fact that consoles will never be as powerful as PCs and design/build accordingly?

I've been playing it all day on PC and I swear this shit is in the PC version too. Obviously it's working as intended but I have noticed, on more than one occasion, the texture quality change on things like the ground & mountains. 

 

I wondered what was going on and I was also wondering how my 970 was maintaining 60fps (most of the time) on Ultra with no AA @ 1440p.

 

Its a fucking amazing game though, had a few MP runs which is fun but I always do the campaign first and that is top notch. My only real gripe is mouse acceleration which can't be disabled (even with raw input enabled its still there) which makes the flying missions impossible on mouse & keyboard, I had to switch to the XB pad for Story 2.

Ive seen this kind of quality from battlefield 1 when i was messing around with the resolution scale slider in the options menu durring the beta.  setting it to the lowest settings actually enabled my gaming laptop that was equipped with a gtx 460m to run the game at 60fps (with all the other settings set to low and actual resolution set to 720p).  The only downside was playing with this pixellated mess made the game virtually unplayable unless i was using shotguns.  enemies a decent distance away start to blend into the pixellated mess as moving black squares that look like the surrounding black squares.  so i settled for a bit better quality in terms of resolution scaling with a slight fps tradeoff, not ideal but at least now i can actually see things more than 5 feet in front of me clearly.  And i didn't mind the lower fps since it was running okayish on a 460m, a gpu whose desktop counterpart didnt even meet the minimum required spec and it still kinda worked.

No. They usually play games at 1280x720 or 1920x1080 at 30fps. Battlefield 1 has a system in place where it changes resolution to make sure the fps is stable.
