My first PC was an eMachines eTower 466i with Intel Celeron 466MHz, 64MB RAM (latter upgraded to 128MB, then to 320MB, and now it's 512MB - maxed out), ATi 3D Rage Pro AGP 2x 4MB (upgraded to Ginward nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB PCI), 6.4GB HDD (upgraded to 40GB) and it was running Windows 98SE, but later me and my dad installed Windows XP on it. It ran somewhat OK with XP and I used it until June 2015 - only for music at my second house.

Anyway this is my first PC I built:

(Yes I know running it without a case was terrible and I regret it because that GPU had a low profile bracket)
Specs:
Motherboard: MS-7525 from an HP Slimline PC
CPU: Intel Pentium E5300
RAM: 2GB of DDR2
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 240 (bleh)
PSU: Some 400w Slimline unit from eBay (I'm surprised it didn't explode)
HDD: WD Black laptop HDD

I actually used a cardboard box at one point but I don't think I have a pic of it, no joke.

Honestly i was new to this stuff, i took the CPU out experimenting as you do.... thought that stuff was just glue to hold the cooler on, i put it on with nothing there and in bios CPU was at 134C, so i shut it off and had to find something to substitute...

 

After learning in magazines i bought, i then bought thermal paste LOL.

Oh I don't even remember... it was this really old beige Dell tower, I think with like a Pentium 4 or D in there.  My dad got it from work.

 

First computer I do remember though... it was one of those Asus Eee PCs that were really popular when netbooks were all the rage.  Had a single core Intel Atom, 1 GB of RAM I think (can't remember honestly), and a whopping 15GB HDD... damn was that thing slow.

It worked up until a few years ago, when I accidentally broke it's HDD, then used it for parts and scrap. It was a dependable machine with a terrible os
