CPU? An Intel Pentium E5700 (the first one I knew about since then I started getting into PC's and stuff)

GPU? Nvidia GT 430 with 512mb ddr3 vram... Actually, it can run the crew on 30-ish FPS! (on lowest tho) But I didn't move very far from it, as now I still use a GTX 560 Ti..

My first self-built computer contained an Intel Core2Duo E6320 with INCREDIBLE 4MB of L2 cache! I didn't know what that means because I was about 12 years old, but WOW that sounded so cool when I told my friends. It also had an ATI x1950xt and it performed well in Counter Strike 1.6 :) The funny thing is, about one month ago I sold this system for 50€. Windows 7 runs pretty good on it.

My second computer, and I had to look that up because I forgot (shame on me) had a AMD Phenom II X4 955, a pretty solid chip for that time (early 2011) I guess, at least for a low-budget computer because I didn't have any own money and had to beg my parents. At first there was my brothers old ATI HD3870 X2 in there, but it got WAY too hot, it probably was broken. I pretty soon switched to an nVidia GTS 450 which performed good in Counter Strike Source :D

Now, my third computer has got an AMD FX-8350 and it's time for an upgrade. I'm very looking forward to Ryzen :) I really hope AMD gets back into the game. At first there was a nVidia GTX750ti in  there, then my brothers old GTX690 (what a monster) and now a GTX1060. I will keep that 1060 in my next build, I think.

First CPU that I owned was a 6502 (in a Commodore PET, back in 1978)

68747470733a2f2f7261772e6769746875622e63

First "GPU" (graphics card with some acceleration) was probably some Tseng Labs, maybe the ET-4000. I'm not sure.

1200px-ET4000AX.jpg

But the first computer I programmed on was a DEC PDP-11/70 at my high school back in 1977 or so.
