After getting some new details on pricing and spotting the phone in a Nest ad, some actual photos of the phones have emerged. The image above (and another below) show both phones side-by-side. This marks the first time we've actually seen the phones in the flesh—er, metal. Whatever.

The images show both phones in the aluminum finish, which does look very light above. I think that's down to the harsh lighting. The top of the rear panel is clearly lighter and smoother (it's glass). The fingerprint sensor is up there as well. There are some IDs and markings obscured for obvious reasons.

Looks like a damn iphone What the hell is this trash man,.

Looks like a combination of a Nexus phone, Samsung Galaxy S phone and HTC M8, which is yeah what the iPhone looks like.

Why is everyone seemingly jumping on google like crazy. It's a leak/rumor for goodness sake, not confirmed.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

HTC is at it again!

Really, the price is what's going to kill these phones. Rumours have them starting at 649 USD or EUR or whatever, and that's for the small one iirc. Way too expensive IMO.

I don't think that's fair. Every single smartphone looks like every single other smartphone, comparing it exclusively to an iPhone isn't really right.

You could also argue that it looks like a Huawei P9, or a ZTE Axon 7, or a Xiaomi Mi 5, or a Sony Xperia Z, etc. etc.

I agree with you up until the Xperia line. They dont look like iphones at all.

Edit: I actually take that back. Those phones has enough design differences that even from a quick glance you wouldnt think they were an iphone. This pixel phone, down to the antenna positioning looks just like an iphone.

And I would argue that all those phones are mirroring apples look as well.

I really am not a fan of this design...  The rounded edges on the back and all around plain style is disappointing.

HTC has nothing to do with this. Pixel devices are designed and made in house by Google.

Or, instead of passing judgement on yet another blurry leak, on yet another rectangle shaped phone with a large screen, you impatient people can wait another two weeks for it to be officially announced

Other than the Google "G" logo which will inevitably be on the back of these things, I really don't see anything changing in the final release of these phones.

Pretty sure the Pixel XL (the bigger variant of the phone) was also "accidentally" aired in the NL nest commercial. Looked pretty much the same, I think.
