meh, just looks like a htc a9 redesign more than anything. I'd want to look around the software and how good the camera is before I make any proper judgement on it, but it's different enough from an iPhone to stand out in my opinion, especially with a half and half back.

I blame marketing.  They're making iPhone looking devices to mask the difference between Android and Apple Devices.  I guess they're thinking the closer it is to an iPhone the more likely an iPhone user is to purchase an Android device.  While doing this they are alienating their current fan base.

Haha, when I first saw these a few days ago I was very disappointed. Why have half a glass back? Stupid design decision. There's also way too much wasted space in the front. 

 

I am interested to see what the button on the front is for. Seems odd to have the finger print ready on the back and the button on the front. 

 

So far this year hasn't been great for releases. 

Really hoping Nokia has some amazing design early next year, otherwise I'll likely grab a Moto Z Play.

You can only make a slab of aluminium so many ways.

Does Apple have a rear finger print sensor? No. 

Oval front button? No. 

Half glass back? No. 

 

So it has antenna lines that match. Which are necessary. Big deal.

Really, the price is what's going to kill these phones. Rumours have them starting at 649 USD or EUR or whatever, and that's for the small one iirc. Way too expensive IMO.

Haha agreed. When I heard they were making it I was pretty disappointed. When I heard rumours of it being a copy of the M10 I was even more disappointed. Then this was leaked. It's even worse than I imagined. 

 

I think the developer type phone the Nexus line was designed as is gone. These are "proper" flagships. Hence the rebranding and more I'm line pricing. They'll still sell loads of them I'm sure.

I think a really nice blue is the only way this phone would be even a little enticing. But let's be real. We'll probably get another "rose gold" bullshit phone.

Plenty of android aluminum phones that manage to have unique looking features. At a glance this thing looks like an iphone until you take a closer look.

What. If these leaks are legit then man I will be disappointed. Was waiting to see what Google had on offer. Currently using an M8 and was thinking about the Note, but after the battery issue time was not of the essence. Hopefully Google will prove this wrong. God I sure hope they do because this is just a big NO for me.

the apple design is just simple which makes it easy to copy or accidentally copy.
