I'm curious to know how the 7 is more secure than the 6s or if Tim Cook was just saying that to be funny (when he was asked in the intro).

That could also have to do with scaling or the specific applications being used. 

 

You're right, they have the power to easily handle it....but why? I'd rather have better battery life (and better gaming performance -- read: lasts longer) than an irrelevantly higher resolution screen. 

I haven't seen the event so I can't say how much of a difference 6S and 7 screen is, but, as I've said, there is quite a noticeable difference on 6S and even a G2, a simple video trailer shows it. I'd certainly appreciate the higher res. I'm not talking about anyhing spectacular but a simple 1080p screen. Screen quality absolutely matters, that's why my HTC One X with 720p on 4.7'' is even worse than the 6S. 

The thing is that 6S has a better battery life with 1715 mah than my G2 with 3200 mah (Polarcell battery), and it can last for a loooong time. If it were that bad I wouldn't ask for a higher res screen, but in my opinion, it could have higher res and still have a great battery life, actually above average, especially with ~200 mah increase in 7 iirc?

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

I will give the Earpods this, though: I haven't seen any major audio company copy Apple's stupid decisions with the Earpods, and that's more than I can say for a lot Apple stuff.

I don't know what the physical increase is, but it's rated for an extra two hours or so. 

 

And I'd be happy if my 6s+ lasted a bit longer -- I already only charge it every other day or so, but I'd still be happy to get another few hours of battery life.

The S7 has the same (marginally/irrelevantly better) rated resistance. The s7 is ip68 (up to 1.5 meters) while the iphone 7 is ip67 (up to 1 meter). But it's also improtant to realize that both numbers could be under-estimations, and seeing as both are resistance and not proof and that water voids both warranties, I don't think the difference matters.

at least its not as silly as Sony advertising their phone to shoot photos underwater and then proceeds to make a statement that this will void your warranty.

Yup, forgot that IP67 is water resistant, not water proof.

 

There, makes it even more of a pathetic excuse to not stay with the industry standards.

The reason I say the Earpods are poorly designed is because they put aesthetics above comfort in a product for which comfort is the most important factor. Other companies realize that a hard shape which relies on the user's ear to conform to it can not be comfortable for everyone, so they make earphones with inserts that conform to the shape of the user's ear (in various different flavors, of course). Apple sacrificed that comfort in favor of a 'clean' look, which resulted in a product which is inherently inferior to those of other companies in a very important way.

Personally I find the apple earbuds to be the most comfortable "low end" headphones. I hate the silicone or foam insert type earbuds. But as you said its up to the user.

Being an Apple follower not fanboy, and owning the 6s Plus. I can truly say what a load of garbage. Sure quad core with awesome speed is great but $159 for headphones or a stupid adapter. You have to be joking. Oh also great design looks like the 6 and the 6s looked like the 6 too. I can safely say most people buying an iPhone don't buy it because it has an A10 CPU inside. They buy it because it is the latest and greatest and is similar enough from last time they know how to use it. I already talked to some non techy people and they all said the head phone thing made them not want it and instead are buying s7s.

Not a big fan of the price of the ear pods either but I do like the fact that they have no cables to a silly battery and processor on your neck like most other wireless earbuds. I do hate the fact that they removed the analog headphone adapter as well. Lastly the iPhone looks similar as they are saving the big stuff for next year ;) (10th anniversary of the iPhone)

$160 for truly wireless earbuds isn't that outrageous -- most of the competition in that field is in the $150-$250 range too. The lightning to 3.5mm adapter is kind of annoying, but it's not really an issue for most people since most people only have a single pair of headphones, so the only real downside is the fact that you can't listen to music and charge it at the same time -- and that also doesn't really affect most people most of the time. 

 

The fact that it looks the same as the 6/6s will negatively impact sales quite a bit imo. Although I guess they didn't want to do two radical redesigns in a row (since they want something special for the 10th iPhone -- 7s).

Wait. When was the last Time Samsung changed the design ? Why do People care about using the Adapter ? They have the Balls to move forward and try something new. Instead of bashing on them everyone should give them Props. I will buy it cuz it has a great Camera, the fastest CPU on the Market, no Headphone Jack ( Again big Props for moving forward ) oh and i realy like the Design. Nice and clean looking. Peace hater

Because right now there isn't much benefit to losing the 3.5mm jack and it means you can't charge and listen to music at the same time (although I expect the former to change and the latter to be a mostly irrelevant issue for most people most of the time -- and the rest can buy a different product). 

 

The camera is the reason I'm even considering selling my 6s+ and getting a 7+. Although I probably won't because I won't want to spend $350~ to upgrade ($870 for the 7+ and selling my 6s+ for $500-$550).

Either you missunderstood me or i wasnt being clear. The guy i quoted said he doesnt like how Apple didnt change the Design since the 6. Hope this will make my point of view a bit clearer

Already said that in my Post. I will repeat myself for you tho. I feel like instead of hating on new things People should try the new thing first. Or wait on Reviews or some sh*t. NOBODY tried removing the Headphone Jack and do it all via Lightning. They did.
