Actually Lenovo did, and people bashed them pretty hard as well, but not many know that.

Why in gods name would you wait for a review for how it is to live on a daily basis with only one jack on your phone? :|

 

If they, let's say, put another jack, like another lightning jack and you had 2 that I could justify to a degree, but they are removing it so they could only put 1, and I don't want go into why exactly did it and so on and so forth. And good luck if you don't want to use wireless earphones but your much more expensive earphones but you forgot your adapter. It's like returning to 90s when you had to use an adapter to convert it to a much thicker one for you to be able to use them on some stereo systems. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Because it doesn't impact 90% of people 90% of the time. And those that are negatively affected by it, won't buy it.

That's what gives them the confidence to do whatever they want... they know the demand is high enough that even if they do a thing or two people don't like, they'll suck it up.

As a long time apple fan I am very Meh on this phone.  The design doesn't do much to improve on the 6 lineup and while the specs look good it is still too large of a phone for the given screen sizes.  Camera looks good for sure though.   

 

I am sure it will be a great phone with more than enough features for average users.  Just not sure it would be enough to bring me back .

The Macbook also didn't sell all that well because most people weren't willing to deal with that. Those that were preferred the form factor/design and were willing to make the tradeoff.

The Mac Pro had very fast thunderbolt connections that professionals preferred in order to account for all the storage needs that they needed.

 

If you're talking about the MacBook, those who needed more connectivity options went out and bought hubs, those that didn't, didn't.

why in the world are they not offering the jet black model in 32gb? ?

it looks like exactly like how I wanted a new iPhone to look like (except for camera hump)

 

I'll be waiting for next years anyway...

I'll be waiting for next years anyway...

Probably because it costs them a comparatively large amount to produce that color and/or yields aren't high enough (i.e. it takes too long to produce enough of them) to keep up with 32gb demand.

The A10 man, if Apple has gotten this far, absolutely smashing the mobile SoC market with just dual-cores, what can they do with a big.LITTLE design.  I honestly thought they were just going to go 3-core or something at this point.

big.Little won't improve performance -- just battery life. Although the screen is still by far the biggest battery drainer, so I'd expect music playback time to increase and fetching notifications/bluetooth with the Apple watch will probably improve, but other than that I'm not expecting any performance improvements from the big.Little design. The performance improvements come from the two performance cores being 40% faster than an A9 (50% faster gpu).

I was hoping they would publish audio playback battery metrics so I could compare them to audio metrics for the 6s/+, but they only reported wireless metrics unfortunately. 

 

Also interesting, the 6s/+ also comes with a lightning to 3.5mm adapter now too.

Coming from an iPhone 6 Plus here that came from a 4-5-5S-6Plus. Looking at this, it's "mehh". Not much innovation :P. Maybe next year, I'll upgrade my 6 Plus
