Hi guys! Newcomer here.

That 1.36v vcore is a huge lie that’s when there is like no load, I use Load Line Calibration so it shoots up to 1.392v during Prime95 torture tests, but stable for 21 hours full test.

Sounds like you're running too much LLC. Only apply enough so that voltage stays near enough what's been set in BIOS.

No bueno - I use Maximus X Apex and this is level 6 setting, level 5 setting results in vdroop to 1.328v which is way too low.

I could not beat LLC, but I dropped vcore to 1.33v this resulted at maximum 1.36v during load, so I got that and also overclocked cache to 4.6GHz as well. Got 4 hours of RealBench done and will fire up prime for 21 hours test now.

With some better cooling I've now reached 4.2 GHz on both CPUs. The HWBot record is currently at 899Cb ugggh..

I think I'm getting close to the limit of this Xeon now...

Thermalright Silver Arrow, 1.55V Vcore needed but its only for a short bench so...

@wildthing Try tightening your memory, raising the men frequency and set the priority to high. 1100 is doable at those clocks ;)

it wasn't worth doing that.

i got more points out of higher freq on the uncore then any mem setting

Well the high uncore doesn't stop you from messing with memory timings, even if it just gets you one more pt - 1100 is a nice number :D

It's infuriating how little the scores increase when you go from 4.275GHz to 4.3GHz.

Well it's a 3200MHz 16 CAS Hynix m-die kit soooooo I'm happy I can get it through Cinebench at those speeds and timings. Also, I am going to replace this Asus Prime X470 board with the Crosshair Hero VII so that should help.

Not a super high overclock but what I think is impressive about this score is how high I was able to get with a 4790k @ 4.7ghz core, 4.3ghz cache. Also, if memory matters in the score, my kit is the HyperX Fury 2x8gb @ 1866mhz.

Especially given that it was easily coolable under air. 1.475V <60C under cinebench - given that I'm basically running maxed out clocks (well, 253 is the max this CPU can handle stable, but I was lazy because this already got me golds) thats really nice :D
