Slaughtered my 290 at least. 1615 core  :o

not bad. prokon is still on top because of his rapid cpu though. its all about the cpu clock.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

nvidia gpu's seem to be better at open gl, but prokon was probably at 4.9ghz when he ran his 780 and it uses 1 core heavily during the open gl test so your cpu is more important than your gpu. :)

soon. just wait till broadwell :P

Can't get my X5450 C0 to work very well with 680i SLI... which is a shame :(

that is annoying. have you tried looking to see if there are any bios updates that provide better stability for that cpu?

I've tried the latest BIOS (only BIOS with 45nm support). I've also tried adding my own microcodes :(

I have a feeling it's the C0 revision (crappier one) that's causing the problems. Others with E0 (SLBBE) are having no issues.

well I'm going to try return this (the picture showed a E0 chip) and grab an SLBBE chip.

or if I can get a Intel chipset lga775 board see if it's the cpu... problem is I can't use any at work as it requires a socket mod

getting very close to single core 775 record. 130 r15 atm ;)

might try xp to reduce idle usage. currently on 8 which scores about 4pts higher than 7

you can't use 8 for hwbot. the best os should have been xp 64 bit

If I had a DDR3 P45 board I'd probably get more :P

Currently booting at 4.7ghz. 1.7v on the MCP (680i SLI) ;)

1000MHz and 4 multiplier would be funny.

I can go from 6-9 ;)

And I think my nForce MCP hits its limits around 2100... which is good as this chipset gets loads of flak :P

If I'd throw more voltage at my E8400... I think on the database it's at 3.8 GHz (stock voltage (and cooler x))), but it can do 3.9... I just need to get a decent mb D:!

I find chipset voltage is more important than core voltage... I could go all the way back to 1.45v for that bench. Probably even more.

that's why motherboard blocks used to be useful instead of for e peen like there are on newer platforms
