Random reboots

So ive been playing alot of Starcraft lately, and once in awhile system reboots......not every time i play.

help please

nope....just reboots. Just ran CPU stress test for 30min, its good. Did 30min GPU stress and it was ok also

ok tried all that...still happens, loading Dirt 3 to see if happens in that

Played Dirt 3 for about 30 min (was fun lol) no crash. I uninstalled and reinstalled Starcraft, this just started happening today. Ive been playiing the game for about a week.

im out of ideas

Could be a failing power supply, how old is your current PSU?

PSU is about 1 month old lol

went to Blizzard web site and that game doesnt like overclocked cpu's!! stupid

so i put it back to stock (slug speed for this dual core) and the game lasted longer.......

underclock your CPU, underclock your GPU (min ~15% each), leave the voltage the same on both.

 

If it still restarts, download memtest86+ and make a bootable for it and test your RAM overnight.

 

if you're going to stress test you need to run both CPU and GPU under load at the same time. Run OCCT (CPU:OCCT tests stability, CPU:LINPACK tests thermals and power)

Do your first stress test with OCCT LINPACK on CPU and Kombustor on GPU.

If it passes that for an hour, keep the GPU under load and try CPU:OCCT instead.

your system can still appear as stable with synthetic benchmarks and still be unstable in games,just putting that out there.
