Time for some Haswell-E. Intel Core i7-5820K @ 4,5Ghz (first manual OC on the chip, nothing fancy, only multiplier/vcore)

The single-core result is @ 4,6Ghz I think (used Asus OC thing for the first run)

Score:

Multithread - 1320
Single-Thread - 183

that is the highest single thread score on 2011 yet :)

I think I got away with a nice 5820K all considered. Trying to aim 4,6-7Ghz through 125Mhz strap, but my H100i is starting to run into too much heat (80C Aida64 @ 1,31V)  ;)

Other than having to buy overpriced DDR4, I really like this platform, Haswell/X99 were nice improvements.

Intel Core i7-5820k @ 4,6Ghz; Asus X99 Deluxe; GSkill Ripjaws 4 (4x4) 2400Mhz; MSi GTX 980 Reference @ 1.4Ghz; CM V700; Phanteks Enthoo Luxe; Windows 8.1 Pro

I have my E8400 running at 4.6Ghz (and beyond when my ambient drop again) on 1 core at 1.45v, unfortunately to beat the previous c2d record I'd probably need 2 cores to offload the os resource waste :P

Here's my 11.5 score, still can't find my damn SLI connector to properly run/OC my x2 580's. They're stable in R15 but not 11.5. Will update if anyone's keeping track of the OpenGL scores.

I think I might have your SLI connector... :P

I find R15 less stressful to both the CPU and GPU, as I can run my super unstable OC through 15 but it crashes about mid way on 11.5 :(

:D ahahahaha I think  you're right! It's ok, I wanted one that wasn't gold/orange anyways. Time to hunt down a solid black connector. It's a major bummer that I have to run the cards in x8. When I update to some new Hydrocopper's I'll have to figure out a new spot for my res, I don't think there's any way that it'll fit with the way I have it set up....but I really like the look of it and no one else seems to have hard lined their res fill port -_-

HA! that's not the one I was looking for, don't even think that would work with my lane setup. It must be around here somewhere...I've still got 5 boxes of randoms bits scattered around my apartment and my computer over the kitchen sink (water is FUN!) Time to search.

I find it the opposite way. If I get to an OC on R15 where I can't go any further I can keep everything the same but raise the freq a tad and it will run on R11.5. This is doing a few runs back to back at very high core speeds.

Still not R15 or R11.5 stable. OS, XTU, and HWBot were stable benches with MUCH lower voltage @ 4.5Ghz. I tried!

Well, as I probably mentioned months ago about not being an early adopter (that worked out well), it has been full of issues. Almost all of them relating to the XMP timings and the stupid dipswitch on the board. Whether that's ASUS's fault or G.Skill's is unknown. Called ASUS tech support about the random boot loops and MemOK light coming on and they said to use the dipswitch, which then locked down my mult to 3.75ghz. SoooOOoOoo went back to full manual -no dipswitchery- and plugged in every single RAM setting of the 20+ options. Now all is fine lol.

Glad the important one survived the journey! :D I figured the green one would be DOA, but if you had some magical U.K. healing powers to bring it back to life, it would be worth throwing in. I never had the time to diagnose what was wrong with it, the usual CMOS/battery replacement got me nowhere.

lol I honestly don't care one way or another. My bank account should recover from my X99 splurge as soon as I sell my old rig...or convince the lady that it needs to be kept for sentimental reasons...by turning it into our brand new wall mounted server from the case components I pulled from the 775 setup -those older Coolermaster cases have some nice removable MOBO trays  . So many options...none of which she is particularly excited about, except the selling=$$$

How is X99 anyway? Is it what you expected or are you let down a bit?

Once I get my old library copied over and encoders installed I'll have some real world results. If the benchmarks are an indication of anything I'm about to be extremely pleased with the upgrade.

NEW R15 score! :D  Not sure if it was getting the SLI running and not having Nvidia/the MOBO throw a fit, but finally capped 1700. R11.5 also got a small bump.

and I wasted all that time trying to get 4.5 cinebench stable w/1.36v :o

Any ideas why cinebench wouldn't be stable but I can run XTU @4.5 w/1.31v for 45min? Really temped to do a full stability test but AIDA and XTU were reading 263w TDP, not sure on their accuracy, but if they were I'd rather not tempt fate on my brand new rig ;)

Common voltage BSOD's. 124, 101, 0001D. Although I would assume the only benchmarking software properly configured for X99/5960X would be XTU, as it's the only one that hasn't loaded full of errors besides CPU-Z...which just hangs on SPD loading.
