Everytime I look at the scores and see my 3930k, I wish I had LN2 to kill it with, but I've already sold it :c

This is gonna be a fun week, always wanted this platform properly. Then this is going in my 2nd rig that I use downstairs to replace the integrated apu :D, unfortunately the 3 way "sli" is an epeen shot as one of the cards is a somewhat broken 8800gtx.

HUGE thanks to @runit3 for his generosity, words cannot thank him enough.

I have to oven bake the 8800GTX whenever I want to use it really :P

If I can get my hands on another 9600GT without breaking the bank (thanks car insurance) then I'll try. Seems all the old stuff I want goes at illogical prices. (E.g. I sold a 9500GT silent fanless for £44???)

i know what you mean. my 9800gtx+ weren't that cheap. i think they cost about the same as the 6850's which i'm benching if cf now. the 6850's are miles faster and use less power. i've got them running much faster than a 7870, maybe even to stock 7950 standards. ;)

I'm not going above 4GHz until I get my liquid loop set up. I should hopefully have time to post to the "build logs" some time next week.

33 % oc on air for that thing O.o? What's your cooler?

I currently have the Corsair H100 in push-pull configuration. With an ambient temp of 20c, idle temps are ~35c, and max temps while rendering for about 30min are in the mid 70s. I don't dare touch small FFTs in prime95 until I get my custom liquid loop set up, though.

unfortunately when passing 2000 on the fsb things begin to get a bit on the unstable side :(

maybe with ddr3 on an x38/x48 chipset it'd get more but I don't have that money to spend on toys... I still owe someone :P

I'd like to point out how this has 130 pages and a massive spreadsheet and has never been stickied, yet a new topic with 19 posts has been stickied in the graphics card forum, and has 6 entries in the spreadsheet.

Let's just say I'll hopefully be in posession of a Harpertown chip that does 5.12cb11.5 @ 4.2ghz :)

Well if you buy the chip knowing it can do that that spoils the fun really

Still, I'll be interested to see it, and figure out how much I'm going to spending on LN2 to get the title back

Oh no, I just looked at the HWbot scores for the chip :P

I still participate in the crap shoot.

But I reckon 4.2 would be pretty obtainable on a high bin yorkfield (basically what harpertown is) part.

Or accept your fate :)

Even if some people think this is mainly for friendly competition, it really isn't. Fighting to the death over who can go faster than the other :P

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. Never. This title is all I have in terms of e-peen. I have the board to prevent that.

Time for some Haswell-E. Intel Core i7-5820K @ 4,5Ghz (first manual OC on the chip, nothing fancy, only multiplier/vcore)

The single-core result is @ 4,6Ghz I think (used Asus OC thing for the first run)

Score:

Multithread - 1320
Single-Thread - 183
