Just as WWDC is about to start, Microsoft has really started to hate on Apple for their 13"  MacBook Air.......

Not even joking, they literally added this just before WWDC.

Good to see the marketing department has grown balls. Cos it takes balls to do this and yet still host an after party for WWDC...........

Take directly from their website.....

This is not the 1st time Microsoft has compare the surface to a MBA, honistly people are either going to get a 2-in-one or an ultrabook, so I don't see how comparing them really matters, I doubt that it would effect sales of either devices much.

inb4 Apple adds something like "100% less blue screens!!!" on their Macbook page.

Would be a funny touch.

It's a really unpleasant operating system to use. The feeling is sort of hollow. There's no soul to it... It's the same with all of their products really. Its command line interface is weak. They're trying with Powershell but the whole COM object thing is just fucking confusing and doesn't help at all.

Its only saving grace is videogame support and the fact that MS put tons of money into DirectX back in the 90s-00s so GPU companies would focus more on D3D support and less on OpenGL.

No because half their audience isn't technically literate enough to know what that means.

Remember, apple treats it's customers like they don't know anything.

and MS could just counter that saying "100% less Kernel Panics!!!"

It's an operating system. It doesn't have a soul.

I've tried all the major operating systems and they all have their pros and cons.

I don't know what you consider pleasant to use but I find Linux to be the least pleasant although coincidentally also the operating system I have the least experience with.

I can completely relate. I've tried all three (Windows, Mac and Ubuntu Linux) and I liked Windows the most.

My current daily driver is a MacBook, so MacOS is my current but I do run Windows 10 Insider Preview (Fast Ring) in a VM. Definitely caveats to both. I probably lean towards Windows because MacOS is sometimes annoying to use because of how "user-friendly" it is.

Oh and the term metaphor is probably the same in all Germanic and Latin languages (slightly different spelling in each language of course), so there shouldn't be an issue of language barrier within the Americas and Europe.

Your metaphor was stupid. That's all. I merely acknowledged it as such.

Apple have pretty much given up on their Mac community. It's been ages since they updated anything, and if they do it's another silly product that caters to no one. Q4 2016 is too late, we need something new in WWDC. It's been ages already since the MacBook Pros have been upgraded, does apple really expect people to buy the MacBook?

Well Microsoft's message is implying people know the MacBook Air 13's performance, which not everyone knows too.
