I'm thinking on getting a Mac (recent move to apple) and I want to know if I will still be part of the PC Master Race?

can anyone explain why the slang for windows computers is pc but for some reason its not slang for mac. anyone know why this developed?

the split happened due to some marketing stuff with apple around the 90s and early 2000s i think.

I believe they're called "Mac heathens", since it's kind of a PC (more so than a console) so you're not a peasant, but it's not quite full ascension xD

Your Phone, your Tablet, your mac, they're all PCs.

 

Consoles almost qualify as PCs in my book. They're been pushing more and more features to become more versatile, and if they were able to browse the internet and do work stuff, they'd qualify as PCs.

man, I remember the "old" Mac OS's, from about 6 up to 9 from elementary school... it was as bad or worse than windows 98.  The interface was awkward, it was constantly crashing, and (although this isn't really the OS's fault) it was also constantly "out of memory" >:(
