I don't believe we evolved from apes, but i believe that as a human we evolved, so maybe we were very close to apes, but have formed to be humans, i also beleive there is a great being that created the earth, not in a full on Christian way but i think there is someone who made it. I don't tend to talk about this often as it makes my head fucking hurt from thinking how the earth might've formed.

i'm here to say that with 100% certainty this evolution thing happened.

 

what we cannot 100% certainly say is how it came to be.

wether it was a great being that made it happen, or that everything on this ball of dirt is just dumb luck...

 

thats what science has been trying to figure out since the dawn of times, and at one point they'll figure out and tell you.

If they're that narrow minded about it and so dismissive of even the idea of prehistoric life then he shouldn't want to join their church. I have never heard anything like this.

I'm going to say yes, because, its the answer that most people want to hear.

 

Though technically, we did not evolve from apes in our manor of speaking, but both common apes today and us evolved from a common ancestor or family of ancestors. Todays apes, and us diverged a long time back, not as far back as primates, but far enough back that our common ancestor would be hard pressed to be labeled an "ape" in common thinking.

 

Strictly speaking, we did NOT evolve from "apes." Both of us just evolved from a common ancestor that was as much ape, as it was human.

Wish I could find my bio-anth journal, I had to write a study on this topic actually for a final, really wish I had it on hand.

Apes and humans are modern species, we did not evolve from apes, we evolved AS apes, apart from modern apes. complex wibbly wobbly timy wimy things that my tired mind can't fully describe.

 

I used what my professor would kill me for, in my OP replace the word ape with "modern ape"

I was always bad at fully labeling, because I assumed my reader would be able to keep up.

A sizable number of christians refuse to believe dinosaurs are a thing because it kinda goes against how long the earth has been around according to the bible.
