Apple announces iPhone 6 and 6S battery pack cover

GoodBytes

so what, it still doesn't last as long as iphone 6s and iphone 6s doesn't last as much as other phones in it's class.

The 925's battery tanks when you use it moderately-heavily. It used to be my daily driver, now I just use it as a Zune because thats all the battery is good for(IMO).

further proving my point, lumias never had good battery life. Even the new 950 and 950 xl are pretty bad for phones of their respective classes.

Even as an apple fan, I have to say that looks utterly stupid and not at all apple like.

They should fire the persons responsible for the 'new' Magic Mouse, Pen and that battery pack.

You have proved nothing to me other than show me an advertisement.

Either way my phone has always lasted longer in battery life than anyone with an iPhone that I know.

I have not had the experiences you are showing to me.

straight up doesn't make sense. Did you have an iphone 6/6s and used it like you use your lumia?

I have never owned an Iphone, don't much care for them as I have seen them in the store and was not impressed by them.

The Lumia 925 is the 3rd smart phone I have owned and so far the best one I have used. Before I had the HTC7 and then the HTC Radar (after 1 year it died on me, the radar was a terrible phone).

Windows Phone has served me well for the last 6 years.

yeah well, those other phones were old smartphones, not fair comparison. 925 was an okay phone, but it doesn't have what is considered good battery life these days.

I'm really hoping that Apple packs a bigger battery into the iPhone 7, because that's the phone I'm probably gonna get.

I am the only one who thinks that they are reusing the exact same battery on the iPhone 6, to minimize production costs.

Dick move, but wont buy it anyways.

(I hope no one's mentioned this point yet, as I read only the first page)

I find it ironic how Apple taunts how thin and light their iPhones are and wants to make them even thinner (removing the 3.5mm jack rumour) at the cost of battery life, but then they release this case to increase battery life which adds bulk and makes it less thin (not to mention the odd shape that might be uncomfortable). Wouldn't it have been easier for Apple and the consumer to have slightly thicker and heavier phone to get battery life as good as my freaking Samsung S5 which gets 1.5 to 2 days?

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

source: http://www.technobuffalo.com/2015/12/09/apple-ceo-defends-smart-battery-case-design-in-new-interview/

Tim Cook defends this product (of curse he would):

If you’re charging your phone every day, you probably don’t need [the battery case] at all,” Cook said. “But if you’re out hiking and you go on overnight trips… it’s kind of nice to have

As you probably know from being a user of [Apple’s battery case], one of the real insights here is, have you ever used other cases and tried to get them on?” Cook said. “In order to get [them] on, you’d find it very difficult to get it on and off

You know, I probably wouldn’t call it ‘the hump

Sooooo.... yeah, this is here to stay and Jobs's Apple is long gone now. Personally: i'm not fan of what this company has released ever since Cook took control

Through the bank, everybody despises this case in our Apple Store. What a hideous and useless thing this is, especially at the price.

Not to mention that we're also selling a battery case from Mophie, which has 2750mAh and looks much cleaner, and most importantly is about 10$/10€'s cheaper.

For hiking and overnight trips?

I know it's his job to defend shit like this, but that was a pretty pathetic attempt tbh. You could still pick up compact packs with a higher capacity for less. Hell, if you don't mind the extra weight, you can pick up a 25600mAh behemoth for $30.
