Apple announces iPhone 6 and 6S battery pack cover

GoodBytes

first of all it's nasty

second it looks glossy, which would make it even nastier.

Im pretty sure its like soft touch matte silicone

Well, I got myself a 7000mAh battery extension for way less than $100!

And it looks slick too.

It has a DIY feeling to it.

No

I don't get it...

My iPhone 6 has two and a half day battery.

Sure, I might not use it as much as Linus but there is no need for a battery pack imo.

My 6 doenst get through the day, I take it off charge at 7am, and I have to charge it by about 7pm

that is a day with no youtube, no gaming, and very little music

if I use it heavily, like making calls, or gaming , it can drain in a few hours - hence I have a battery case for weekends and heavy days away from the office

You can get a 10000mAh one with the same size, you should upgrade your cover :P

Well, considering I spent like $10 on mine, I'd say I should get 2 of the models I already have for an amazing battery pack of ~14000 mAh !

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

Nah its the same material

Its not bad at all, every other smartphone would fair the same, even if a phone lasted twice or 3 times as long, it would still struggle on a heavy day

if I have a light day, it does last 2 days

C'mon apple, even you should have been able to make it look better than that...

I mean really, how hard is it to make a batter pack at least match the styling choices of the phone its going on >.>

no they wouldn't... 6 has a battery life straight from 2013, we are way past that now.

z3 compact and z5 compact are legit doubling the battery life of iphone 6 in every test I can find. That's why Linus uses Z5 Compact now.

Wtf Apple, really i dont know anyone besides dickheads and hipsters who would want to have form over function. I'd take a fat, powerful (not saying the iPhone isn't powerful but there are more powerful phones out there) android phone that has good battery life rather than a bloody phone with shit battery life and a shit case that makes it very awkward and shit looking so you can have some extra battery life.

Main PC: Core i5 4670 | MSI Mpower Max z87 | G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb | Stock intel cooler | PNY GTX 770 2gb (hoping to upgrade) | Seagate 1tb 7200rpm | Corsair RM850 | Corsair Carbide Air 540 | PCCG custom sleeved black/yellow extensions | Corsair K70 Cherry MX Blue | Corsair M45 |

Phone: LG Nexus 5 | Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-PDG1, Shure SRH440 | Laptop: Asus 303la (i5 model, 1600x900 res) | Motorbikes: 2004 Sherco 290i, 2013 Husqvarna CR125 | Xbox one

that is all that matters though, does it carry out the functions it was designed to do and optimised for, yes

yeah, still. Today's phones last way longer than iPhone 6. 6s plus is pretty good, still not top performer where battery life is concerned, but okay.

What complete idiot thought it was a good idea to make a battery cover with only 2/3s of it actually containing battery and that doesn't have a passthrough for the connector? Are you kidding me? And why didn't they just make the phone thicker?

Also, 100$? WHAT? I can buy 64 Ah worth of battery packs with that money, combined they should last almost a month without recharging any of them.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Dunno what to say, but battery life on my LG G3 has been excellent. Even more so since I've changed my ROM.

screen on time and usage time? if you get 3-4 hours of screen on time it's not excellent, it's okay. LG G3 has excellent stand by time because SD801 is fucking nuts, but the display is power hungry.

its fine for 90% of things, and I have a battery case for the days when its not

I prefer the phone overall as a device, I really do not like Android much, though I might get one as a second phone just so I have the best from both worlds
