WiiU emulator is a go.... almost

GoodBytes

Already GameCube Emulator is still not 100% or even 90%, and the Wii uses very similar hardware than the GameCube, pushing the developing forward.

If you take the Perfect and Playable titles together that's 84%, which is very impressive and damn close to 90%. Most of the titles haven't been checked in 4 months, and with how fast the development has been going and the dev's focus on emulation accuracy it's probably even better.

They don't tell you how to rip the Wii U discs exactly...

my assumption is you need a pwn'd wii U in order to rip the discs so you can try the emulator lol

talking about the newer ones like reach 4 and 5

Oh... Like the ones that aren't as good?

I mean, an XBOX-360 EMU is going under nicely, may be a while though.

And a lot of them that are 4 stars should definitely be perfect (both of the Burnout games, for instance. Zero issues with either.)

Really? PCSX2 Emulator kicks the snot out of the PS2 for me.

Difference is that the PS2 is soo old. The more recent generations of consoles are better off just getting it than using an emulator

It's not really a lot, just a few of the first party Nintendo games.

There is an alternative, and is open source, wiiu-emu: https://github.com/exjam/wiiu-emu

That is more of a reverse engineering project, rather than a emulator. Seeing how thing tick and why something does this.

can it emulate blowing into a memory card or controller connector to make it work again?

if not, it is inferior to the real deal...

It can emulate never having the controller break, and thus it is superior.

Well if this is plausible I guess that also aligns well with the 360 games on PC article recently: also power pc if I'm not mistaken

A lot of Wii U games are re-makes or slight revamps of the Wii version.

you're confusing wii u with bone and ps; so far the wii u has only two remakes: bayonetta 1 and wind waker

One day I will be able to play Monster Hunter Frontier in French/Italian/English on my PC, it's just a matter of time... 4 5 6 7 8 9 years later: It's finally coming!!!

I find those the charms of the platform, I always just feel like something is "off" and not quite right when using an emulator, I have tons of emulated games on my shield but they  never feel as good as the original

yeah I dunno how to explain it

There's a word to explain it, it's called nostalgia.

Honestly people should buy a Wii U if they want to play the games, a Wii U is not very expensive and Nintendo consoles have a good reliability record.

Nothing beats playing a ps1 game emulated with force up res and AA

Hate to think the computational power needed to do similar things for wii u emulation

Yeah, nostalgia is a part of it, but I still buy games for old systems I have never played before, when I could just run an emulator

I just like experiencing thing how they were originally experienced, like I dont mod games, I want to play the game in its native state, and experience it in its original way

I know how you feel, sadly for me it's pretty difficult to get old consoles in a working condition for a fair price where I live, most people value like gold things like the Dreamcast xD, and things like the PS1 and PS2 don't work right most of the time.

oh right I seem to be able to pick up and old console for like £30, still use my PS1 and PS2, want to get an n64 and another dream cast etc and expand
