if you want looks and silence look no further than the dark rock series or the phanteks coolers which aren't silent but come in every color combo also the cryorig coolers

I know about the dark rock pro 3 and love it, it is the only other one I would go for, but the size, compatibility with ram and mobo heatsinks and the struggle of fitting other fans to it.

I've never been a fan of the design on phanteks coolers and I'm not sure why.

I would go for the cryorig R1 ultimate, but for the availability in the UK, which is next to nil, plus the D15 is cheaper.

Caught between selling my Vapor-x 290 and getting a better monitor, or keeping it because it looks cool in the case.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Well Im planning to build this gaming pc next month:

Motherboard: Asrock H97 Anniversary ATX

CPU: Intel core i5-4460 3.2 GHz Quad Core

RAM: 8GB of Corsair Vengeance pro

GPU: EVGA GTX 970 4gb vram (more like 3.5 :D)

HDD: 1TB

SSD: 60GB (just cuz i dont really care about loading times and i can always put more ssd if needed)

PSU: Well it was gonna be Corsair CX600w .. but everyone in this forums tell me its bad for high end builds like this, so ill probobly gonna go with EVGA SuperNova GS 550W

Yeah, wait for the 14/16nm nodes. You'll probably have to reduce your quality settings, but that would make the Pascal/AI upgrade all the more exciting.

The only reason I went with a 390 instead of waiting was the GPU I had access to was an R7 260x, which started to not cut it. (Yeah, a 390 for a tide-me-over solution) I'll be looking for Red or Green when the new nodes come out.

An ITX Skylake build in a Prodigy, with stuff like custom-sleeved cables and nice, tidy interior.

Sadly, not going to wait a year for Zen, otherwise I might just wait forever.

Still in the process of planning. :)
