Post your future rig plans!

Another 8GB RAM and possibly an AIO water cooler of some kind (EKWB one maybe, looks ok).

Pretty happy with my build at the moment.

I just ordered all the parts to my first bargin gaming rig, but I had to cheap out on quite a few things. Right now I have:

Intel Core i5-4460

Gigabyte GA-H97M-HD3

Gigabyte R9 380

Crucial Ballistix 8GB

Thermaltake Versa H22

Corsair CX600

Short term:

An ssd to my it start faster/be more responsive.

Long term:

Upgrade the cpu and possibly the gpu (depends on how well the r9 380 works for me)

Get a better looking case (although the one I ordered doesn't look bad)

What? It's not like I care if it takes a while to render the video. It frees up my rig, and that's really what I care about. GTFO.

I really really REALLY want to see what happens to it when it tries to render 3D stuff. You wouldn't happen to have 3DS max handy would you...

It won't render that, so there's no point in doing it anyways. It's for rendering videos and capturing video from my TV tuner card.

Future plans? Well, I'm looking at getting an NH-D15 or a raijintek triton 140mm AiO to replace my alpenfohn brocken, along with some decent fans (I'd use a fan adapter on the triton), however that's short term. In the middle term I'm considering getting a new GPU when nvidia release their pascal based cards, as well as upgrading my monitor to a dell u2515h. In the long term replacing my hard drive with a 1tb ssd will be the main move, as well as possibly getting a NAS.

The brocken looks decent, but the cooling is kinda average, I'm peaking at around 76C and the noise isn't the best but not unbearable, it's my GPU that makes the most noise (reference coolers sadly) I just like the look of the triton, what with being able to add my own dye to it, I'd be able to have the fully black and yellow rig that I want. (Once the GPU is modded that is)

FYI adding dye voids your warranty and the block has a tendency to crack so you kinda want that warranty..

Oh I know about the dye voiding the warraty, and the housing cracking kinda doesn't surprise me, but I'm more likely to go for the NH-D15 as it's overall cheaper when I factor in new fans for the triton and the fan adapters (admittedly I could just print some from my unis 3D printer)

if you want looks and silence look no further than the dark rock series or the phanteks coolers which aren't silent but come in every color combo also the cryorig coolers
