Ubisoft is teasing a new game which is reportedly an Ice Age Far Cry called "Far Cry Primal"

Today (not gonna bother with the exact time, because time zones) Ubisoft started teasing a new game with a livestream video of a cave painting, more precisely a painting of a caveman holding a spear and a bow.

 

IGN Turkey leaked the info before the official announcement in the tweet that you can see below and it's supposed to be a new Far Cry game set in Ice age called Far Cry Primal. This might not be far fetched considering the video has a really similar "vibe" as Far Cry 4, at least for me.

If it is a new Far Cry and if it's gonna be similar to the last 2, I honestly can't wait. They were very similar but really different at the same time and I played the hell out of them both. Hype train. Also sounds like a spin off similar to Blood Dragon and to me it looks like a version of FC4's Shangri-La.

Hmm. Interesting. This is something my brother would love as he enjoys the entire Far Cry series. I'm not too into it.

calling it its going to be far cry 3 again. which would make it the forth game with the same core mechanics.

I fully expect them to somehow make it futuristic and the past, much like Assassin's Creed.

Well, it's Ubisoft, so we should take all of this and let it release first before taking any preorders, whether it's a new game or DLC to Far Cry 4.

Not really. It's called "We've seen this game so many times in different variations with little to no major changes in the core". Ubisoft just so happens to have two kinds of IP that fall into this category (Farcry and Assassin's Creed and possibly others?). This reason, I mentioned, is one of the major reasons to Call of Duty's downfall of sales, so please don't act like this proper reason doesn't exist.
