If I use a PayPal account for a new iRacing subscription that I've already used for an existing iRacing account, will it deny the payment?

 

The renewal prices are ridiculous and I only have free content so I would much rather pay 50% than pay the full price for renewal.

Welp, my chances of moving up in points in tonight's race were crushed by another driver racing too hard on turn 4 of lap 1. 

 

Had to retire from far too many races this season. just the way the cookie crumbles I guess...

 I've been multiplayer racing in a few servers on assetto corsa recently with very good results. everyone raced super clean and cared about each other. It was really nice to be honest. what was nicer was that I finished in the top 10-20% every time haha, never won though, there was always *that guy* in first place who's somehow a full second or two faster than me (i suspect driver aids )

 

my favorite so far was the BMW 1M's (the highest upgraded versions, s3 i think) around mugello. had a very good battle there in the time I raced, over the entire 8 laps it was the top 3 (including me lol) battling it out for first place. Was truly a great experience, and no one even made contact once! and the car had adjustable turbos, but the top 20% would damage your engine, so it was pretty much a risk as to when you'd just decide to go full boost and hope it lasted the rest of the race lol

Don't forget taking out armor plating to make it more civilian! It sounded like a turbo v8 at stock, a very low duty cycle one, so lets call it at 600kg for the old engine.

Driving with a racing wheel is like riding a bike - you never really forget.

 

I've been away from my G27 for the better part of 5 months now, and now that I'm back home for the holidays I decided to dust it off for a few laps. Using my gaming laptop (850M) I'm a bit limited with how hard I can push titles, so mostly AC and RF2 for now.

 

 

I may be a bit rusty but man I still got it. I'll most likely get faster as the days go by but this is a good start. Already one second down on my controller lap of the GT4 at Portimao (1:59.906), with a few set up tweaks in the works. Recorded on Shadowplay, which I must say does an amazingly good job at recording gameplay with little noticeable disparity.

Turns out I can go even faster! Beat my previous PB by half a second with plenty of time left on the table, but a 1:58.420 will do for now. The car is tricky to get power down smoothly in the lower gears but man it handles well. A bit sloppy on some o the exits and managing a good turn-in with trail braking takes some perfecting, but when you're running a consistent stint it feels amazing. The brakes dont seem to fade much after 10+ laps either.

 

 

Also if you haven't already driven this, on my word the Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 is splendid to drive. Not as raw-sounding as the real life counterpart (the street MC Stradale sounds better than AC's MC GT4 imho) but its got that characteristic italian flat-plane note up high. Driving wise, it's noticeably easier to manage and get the power down compared to the Cayman but it locks up the front brakes more easily. Turn in is much quicker and it feels lighter overall. Managed a 1:59 without really trying.

AC does engine sounds like no other racing game I've played to date. Second to none.

After a solid run with a 7th place finish on Saturday at Nurburgring GP, I'm looking at a possible top 10 overall points finish. Those two guys ahead of me will not go down lightly though. I did a 2 stop in the last race when I could have done a 1 stop. Tire wear wasn't as bad during the race as it was during practice. Hopefully that's true again this Wednesday night at our final race of the season. No pressure....  

 

 

Bullet has clenched the championship title, so congrats to him.  It's his 3rd championship title with PRD. Not my best this season due to some bad luck and a few mistakes, but it's been one of the most fun seasons with this group. The Dallara Indy car is an awesome machine and with the high draft tow these things create, it's made for some very interesting (and challenging) races, to say the least.  

 

Next season is looking like either the Formula Gulf or Group 5 class. I'll be happy with either of those. The Formula Gulfs with their limited power and extremely forgiving chassis will really level the playing field, where as the Group 5's monstrous power and hair-raising boost will prove to separate the men from the boys (though everyone in our group can drive pretty much anything fast  ).

 

If anyone is interested in joining the PRD league, shoot me a PM. We're always looking for more drivers. Just a few things are required: 

-FFB Racing wheel of some kind (no controllers or keyboard).

-Need a mic to use with Teamspeak so we can all hear each other and communicate (extremely important).

-You DO NOT need to be the fastest driver in the world. As long as you know how to race clean and maintain proper racing etiquette, and you are willing to learn, then jump on in and we'll chat.
