anyone getting this error in PCARS?

beforehand the game will just flatout stop working, but the audio still plays as if the game is still running.

I get it from time to time but at the end of sessions. Never looked into a solution since restarting the game appeared to fix it, so it may just be a random runtime bug for me.

i was doing a 5-lap race when it happened, and it always happens in the middle of a race.

for the Xbone the disc will only have 45gb. the remaining 50gb has to be downloaded. and that doesn't even include the additional 4K update for the Xbone X

yeah it was just the "it wouldnt start on pc" that scared me. considering acg has a background in software development makes a little worrying for me. Hopefully its an isolated issue that can be fixed soon. The IGN review on the other hand wow like the energy from the reviewer was amazing, like dangerously good nearly made me buy the damned thing right now. Playing it safe though because im honestly not sure and my experience with the game was ok but dont want to risk it. will likely have it by the end of the month I think unless they completely shit the bed then ill wait until early next year or so.

Well, it's this or FM7 and it will be a cold day in hell before I'm about to give Turn 10 any more of my money.

I like how they keep emphasizing "dynamic" time of day and weather, as if its some brand new, innovative technology in this industry.

Oh yeah, this is a thing too

I care not for the feature list if its a buggy mess. imm buying forza regardless because i know it will be a fallback game. if im pissed off at a game where I have to utilize my brain cells then forza is probably one of the titles to go to, its just brainless at least from what im heard so it will likely calm me down. Not getting that at launch either though, horizon 3 ran perfect for me but some others had issues so once again playing it safe. I have the luxury of options of what to play this fall which is great.

I don't watch game reviews for games I'm genuinely interested in because judging games is subjective. I find watching others doing game reviews subconsciously changes your own expectations and can lead to you not enjoying the game as much as if you went into it blind with zero expectations.

Of course it's good to know other things like if the game is buggy or has other serious issues and I try to look for that kind of info before buying. But yeah, I generally avoid reviews - especially for racing sim games by people who generally aren't hard-core racing sim players, like ACG. ACG, while I do like his other reviews, is not a hard-core sim racer and is not looking for the same "things" in the game as say, one of us would be. ;)

I only tuned into 1 hour of the 6 GM streamed but he's reported FFB feels numb past the limit in the really fast stuff but anything below LMP2 is generally ok. Tires feel good and the AI aren't perfect. Minor bug in qualifying that if you skip to the end of session, AI gain a few seconds but it should be addressed in a day 1 patch.

Theres probably a lot of stuff I'm forgetting but the archived streams are live if you just want to listen in.

Visual fidelity is stunning as is expected for the title, wrt environment and actual display quality.

If you really can't wait, there's a 10% pre-order discount currently live. Otherwise wait for reviews to hit in the next week.

If you're uncertain, Steam's refund policy is applicable to early adopters.
