If you dont want to go full simulation, Grid Autosport / Grid 2 are still fairly fun track-based racing titles that throw in street cars and street tracks every now and then (2 is more arcadey but Autosport has better graphics). I hear good things about Test Drive Unlimited but I myself havent played the series.
