If you don't like the product and you have the right to return it for that reason, then go ahead.

Return window they said it was 14 days, and now I have 20 days with it already. But I don't like it, looks exactly like IPS panel.

Normal and legally there should be 30 days for return the item on online shopping, I reported them to Revolut, because they advertise it as OLED and is QD-OLED. And they have selection filters for OLED and QD-OLED. I will win the return anyway.

Oled does not look identical to ips. That is just not possible as ips has massive glow on dark sections.

QD-OLED's generally better than OLED so the error would be in your favor...

How exactly does it not look like oled. Are the colors wrong? Are dark areas grey like with IPS?

That's probably due to wrong settings. On Nvidia when you go to the resolution page in the nv control panel it should look like this:

Black looks fine on my OLED with this. AMD probably has equivalent settings somewhere if you have an AMD card.

Also bear in mind OLED in a bright room with a glass screen will look grey, its reflection of the room lighting.  This is why some people prefer a matte screen and happens with any screen type.  I do believe WOLED (LG panels) has a slightly better reflection blocking ability, but the latest QD-OLED are supposed to be better than the older models.

Try to reduce light behind you and you will find it looks better.  Using it in a complete dark room should look dramatically different to an IPS.

There also may be different display modes that have different gamma curves, it could be in a bad mode as a high gamma will also wash out blacks.

I have an LG C1 and while yes it does look darker than the photo above (as does my IPS monitor), the contrast of images on the screen in HDR looks quite flat compared to in a dark room.

It depends on the lighting in the room.  I keep my window blocked as it looks terrible if sunlight if shining into the room.  QD-OLED is also known to not cope as well as WOLED when it comes to light reflections, but the colours look better than WOLED in a darker room.

As mentioned very likely a settings problem. If the display isn't told to display full black it won't do so.

Maybe there's an option something like "black stabilizer", not sure if Asus has it.  Maybe "shadow boost".

If it's at very high then that might be the issue.

I edit my posts more often than not

QD-OLED has raised blacks when there is a lot of light hitting the front of the display. Other than that maybe you didn't set the correc RGB range in your GPU driver's color settings. Make sure it's set to 'full' (0-255) not 'limited' (16-235).

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I've got the PG27AQDM and it's nothing like IPS, the contrast ratio is insane. HDR isn't designed to be viewed in a bright room, either. The screen coating is probably what's skewing your opinion. That's the only thing that would give your post credibility but it's too vague for anyone to comment otherwise.

Even in a full dark room, the black does not look like true oled black, there is a backlight behind that black.

Then you're looking at a software problem. You probably messed something up in the color settings, like I mentioned in my previous post.

But there physically isn't. I haven't seen a single person make the assertion you are comparing it to an IPS panel. The reality is, if both were side by side they would not look the same. The only thing that makes sense here is the panel coating is skewing your opinion, as it's always been a topic of controversy. But all variations of Samsung G3 QD-OLED use the same type of anti-reflective coating.
