Graphics card after the GTX 980 !?!?!?!?

So im not that knowledgeable on graphics cards, iv only had 2 in my life, a GT 430, and a GTX 970... but dont they go like...3 at a time ...like GTX 750,760,770,780...then GTX 950, 960, 970, 980.....but what do you guys think will be next? the GTX 1,050? 

 

also what do you guys think the capabilities of this graphics card will be? considering it will probably be a while, and there will be new drivers and architecture and chipsets...and by then they might decide to extend maybe triple slot width?

 

 

 

again...im not that knowledgeable on GPU's , but what do you guys think

(im talking about NVIDIA GPU's here, not amd)
