Intel's Broadwell has been Launched at Computex 2015, bringing 14nm to desktop PCs

Intel has officially launched their 14nm Broadwell Desktop CPUs at Computex 2015, with an increased focus on integrated graphics. All CPUs in the Intel Broadwell lineup wil have a TDP of 65W or under, so do not expect top end performance out of these chips, not to say that they are not impressive in their own right.  

 

 

 

65w?  That's either gonna severely limit overclockability or there won't be an enthusiast grade i5/i7 for this short gen.  Bring on Skylake!

No. That's just the TDP at the stock speed. It will increase when you OC.

Cause reducing cach like that is realy awfull, no any vallid reason to go with Broadwell then.

more impressed with the gaming performance they get of 65 watts for cpu and gpu.

Its just an energy efficient Haswell with a way better iGPU

OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT: Almost the same performance with a way lower clock speed

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Also what would be the point of reducing the L3 cache of an i7 from 8MB to 6MB?

Well an i5 4440 costs under $180 US-and its Haswell, so the prices seem right.

(BTW, that level of efficiency is astounding-AMD and Nvidia will get their asses kicked if Intel ever makes a dGPU).

So? It beats R7 250 for ~100$ bucks. With freaking 1600mhz memory.

150$ for the unlocked cpu part? Priceless.

And its freaking low power APU. You can toss it in any case out there and you have an XBOX killer!

Right now, intel cpus are the best bang for buck.

 

Also, just a little anecdote, i posted this bench TWICE on AMD facebook page, they deleted it both times.

Its gonna turn nasty if they gonna delete it for the third time.
