Posted February 16, 2017 I got 2: 1) When my mom and stepdad moved to their most recent house, my mom didn't know how to setup her desktop. My Grandma immediately says 'I know how, I'll do it!' My mom asks me to check if she did it right. Turns out my grandma plugged in everything correctly except the PSU's switch was off and she assembled it with the tower upside down. Note that this tower has one of those face plates where it has a top piece so it was basically tilted and could sway to the left and right and easily fall over lol. 2) First time I built a computer completely from new parts, bar the case, PSU and Optical drive (I did check everything for compatibility) I had everything assembled and ready to go and press the power button and it didn't work. I thought, during the process of putting everything together, that the screw that dropped on the chip of my motherboard somehow damaged it, so I went to the local computer store, bought a smaller, worse version of the same motherboard socket type and same problem occurred. It turned out I didn't put in the 4-pin CPU connector and the perfectly good motherboard I had thrown out was in a garbage truck and being taken to a landfill, in addition to being out 80 bucks lol. Lesson learned was to check your motherboard manual to make sure your shit is in the right damn spot and what is required to make it work :^) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
