TOXIC CHROME (modded Corsair 250D)

ciobanulx

Could you meassure the installed height of the 90 rotary barrow fittings that would help me out alot i cant find any good information

If you find the info for bitspower fittings it should be the same. I held one of the barrow fittings up to the bitspower in my current build and they seem identical except for logos.

Cool man, no worries I can do that :) Like @Necrodead said, if you can find measurement of a bitspower one, it will be the same :) But I'll get back to you

two resorvoirs? i love the position so much of that bottom right one and this build is so awesome in general

Yea mainly wanted the larger horizontal res and the other one is there to be able to fill it properly :)

Awesome! Very similar to my build, lol. I also bought fittings from barrow, they seem good.

Thanks man! Have a link to your build? :)

Thanks man! :D Graphics card and MB is perfect for this build, don't need anything more powerful. It will be an HTPC and be able to do some light gaming. The G3258 CPU paired up with the GTX670 is a pretty perfect combo :). Also I was lucky enough to get all the fittings from Primochill and Mydiy helped with the Barrow fittings :)

Yeah, its in my sig. :)

Awesome man! Looking good, nice job on the vinyl wrap, looking forward to seeing it finished :D

Awesome work mate

Thanks a lot :D

Hey guys!

Here it is, tubing all done! The hard tubing used is 1/2" Primochill PETG. First time I've used PETG tubing over acrylic and it's awesome!

So easy to use, heats up and bends much quicker and then can just cut the ends of with a tube cutter :)

Let me know what you think of the bends, tried to keep tubing to a minimum.

So tight for the 24pin!

Pretty much leaning on the fan. Lucky it's on the back of it so, it's still able to spin.

Thanks for checking it out! I should have final pics up in a few days, will get it filled and install Win 10 on it. Will be my first PC with Win 10 on it.

Cheers,

Alex

I'd go with more right angles (90 degrees) in the loop. Looks cleaner IMO. But that is sujective. Other than that still looking real fine! :)

Now that I think of it, that would look so much cleaner.

I've done as much right angle bends as I could. If I would have done a right angle between the GPU and the 140 radiator in the front it would have come over the CPU area and also too close to the tube from the 240 rad, it would not have looked good. Also from the pump going over the 24pin cable went with a 45 and then 90 just to keep it shorter, having a 90 and then another 90 would have made it stick out too much

IMHO the tube from the gpu to rad would look better if it was a straight run because it's more of a clean run, but it still looks really nice! I like that you actually bent the tube rather than just using a bunch of fittings at each of the angles which seems kinda lazy and doesn't look as good as bent tubing.

Thanks man :D Also straight run from the GPU to the front rad would not have been possible because of the GPU cables in the way :)

Hey guys,

Here it is, last update! The build is finally finished!

Hope you've enjoyed this build logs and like the finished build!

I would like to say thanks again to all my sponsors for this project! Primochill for the awesome fittings and PETG tubing, MNPCTECH for all the modding supplies that came in very handy and of course Icemodz for the custom sleeved cables and LED strips, without them all the neat cable management would not have been possible! Also thanks to GGF Lan Party for kindly donating the Corsair 250D case :)

The coolant used is Mayhems X1 Clear UV Blue, love the effect it gives, completely clear under normal light and blue under UV!

Hope you guys like the UV effect and if anyone is wondering about the red light, it's from the motherboard and can be turned off in the bios. I took these pics before hooking it up to a monitor and tinkering with it.

Time to start a new project for the Thermaltake CaseMOD Invitaional Season 2, hope to see you all there and here is a sneak peak!

Don't completely agree... Bend tubing looks really nice and really clean. But if you want a more industrial look to the build, more fittings can be the answer. and can look tidy (but not as much) But all in the eyes of the beholder. :)

Looking real good. Regarding the bends I can totally see if some were not doable as 90s. Still looking clean. and lvoe the mods done on the case and fan shrouds etc.

Cheers mate. I completely agree with you, think bends are so much cleaner if done right over using fittings for bends. The only part where I use fittings is to make the bends easier and cleaner such as how I used here with all the right angle fittings and extensions :)

Beautiful

Thanks a lot guys! :D
