Project "Super Overkill".. Water Cooled 5960X / Quad SLI GTX 980 Classified Monster

JustCallMeVlad

Picking up the 780T on Saturday from MC. I'm sick of the Super large cases.

Use the magnum sma8 or sth10.

That magnum cases are near worth a single Classified. The 780T doesn't need a forklift to be moved though.

Dude this thing is insane, but really, a bay res/pump combo? why not make this look kickass with a dual loop setup or something since you already are going balls to the walls with the performance part of this.

There's no point. I care about performance more than looks besides I change hardware too often to make it look absolutely perfect. I've used a bay res for years. They have always treated me well

I've always pitied the guys who take it to the limits visually with fancy waterblocks/lights and whatnot,... then would have to take it to shows and such, decontructing it and reconstructing it beforehand.

Yeah,..I'd rather be playing games.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I would have thought that the top 20 would have just been filled with LN2 and phase change rigs that even this thing would not be able to touch

Desktop -  i5 4670k, GTX 770, Maximums VI Hero, 2X Kingston Hyper X 3k in raid zero.

Laptop - Lenovo X230 Intel 535 480GB, 16GB Gskill memory, Classic Keyboard Mod, Triple USB 3.0 Express Card.

[snip]

Those cards are sexy as hell, do those waterblocks allow you to see the fluid going through?  That's freaking awesome :D

My life is consumed by CS:GO, even though I'm not exceptionally good at it.

I'm already number 10 on Firestrike ultra hall of fame. Probably won't break the top 20 on Firestrike but she's still a monster

One snag tonight. Second Radiator came damaged so I'm running a single quad rad with the 980's and an H100I with the 5960X till the replacement rad arrives. When completed I will have a pair of quad 120's cooling everything

BTW whatever moron designed these ek fittings needs a kick in the balls. I need an 9mm Allen key to tighten them. No one open right now sells 9mm Allen keys....
