what 960 should i get

I heard the G1 is best and otherwise the MSI.

I would look into the R9 280 too though

I would suggest going for the AMD 280/X. 

The 960, isn't a very good card, when comparing it to the 280.

That card sits between a gtx 970 and a gtx 980, so its probably your best choice considering it roflstomps the 960.

The GTX 960 performs better than the R9 280 and only slightly slower than the 280X, if power is a concern and 1080p gaming is the objective, the 960 is a fine card. As mentioned though, it will be held back by VRAM on high resolutions or in future games, but the future is unpredictable.
