Which AMD CPU will not bottleneck a GTX 980?

I'll report you for spam if you so much as mention getting a intel CPU. This is to prove a point to some scrub on facebook who says that an AMD cpu won't bottleneck a 980.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Well technically speaking every CPU is a bottleneck, even intel.

But IMO an 8320/50 is enough to get the closest performance to intel while on a budget

Don't even consider the 9000 series. xD

well let me put it this way; if you had the same gpu in same config in a intel i5 or i7 rig you would get higher FPS. Bottleneck is a weird term.

@OP every CPU can be a bottleneck depending on the scenario, AMD CPU's are a bottleneck more often than equivalent Intel chips though.

Hey maybe a space heater is the objective I mean in Minnesota for example, it doesn't hurt if your PC pumps in a lot of heat into the air but frankly yeah they'd be better off OCing an 8350 or 8320. (In a Jaystwocents video he put an A10 7850K with a 780 ti and it didn't hold back the GPU too bad.)

Largely dependent on game. Mantle titles barely get effected while games like Arma are insanely cpu inefficient.

That's why I call it the FX 9590ºC

Hey if it's winter and my room could use some heating I wouldn't mind if my PC got nice and toasty I mean bad for the computer itself but ya know. Though I'm not I am tempted get a 9590 instead of a 5960X because then the 1050 watt PSU I was planning on buying anyways will be better utilized I mean sure it's better if I don't have to withdraw almost the full 1050 watts that the PSU can give me but then at least it's being fully optimized though I don't think I'd want to run it on the hybrid mode if I got an FX.

There is no current AMD CPU that will allow the GTX980 to run at its full potential in the vast majority of games.
