Now most of you have probably seen the CES 2015 waterforce video here is it if you didn't :

 

Now @Slick and @LinusTech previously on the WAN Show made fun of the waterforce and called a lot of things, in other words they mobbed the floor with it, now in this video he is admiring it and saying nice things about it, is that because Gigabyte guys are watching him or he is just a lair ?? so is @LinusTech a hypocrite or what ???????

Last time they made fun of it they didn't get a sample or anything so they could only speculate with what they had and truthfully it did seem like a pretty silly idea at the time

Umm, yeah.. They are a YouTube bussiness.

They run of the samples they get.

I personally thought it was absolutely stupid as well. If he didn't like it, I'm pretty sure he'd have said that, albeit subtly for obvious reasons. I say Jayz' review on it, and personally it kinda changed my mind about it. 

 

Like a friend that you first thought was kinda odd. But once you got to know him/her, you realised that he/she's a really nice person.

If he mocked the creation in front of the guys then the higher ups wouldn't like it.

They made fun of the looks, said it's the worst implementation of watercooling a GPU -not exact quote- and he has watercooling experience so I think he actually meant it, if he did it he would be unprofessional and immature, am I wrong ?

Like many have said already, it's a business. He reviews products. When hes out and about at conventions he is most likely looking for other companies that will send him product to review. No need to bash the product right in front of the manufactures faces. Maybe he didn't like the concept. He never actually got the product in his hands to review, so they were going off looks.

Maybe they paid him to say good shiz about it, or didn't want to hurt gigabytes feelings at the show?

 

I personally find that the waterforce stuff is a waste, doesn't look that great, takes up shitloads of room, I'd prefer going with a custom loop.

At their office they can do what they want.

Doing same infront of people who made the product would be rude. So they turn it down :)

But some companies deserve some face to face arguing (Ubisoft).

I thought you would be referring to Linus crticizing vBulletin for launching unfinished products on the market and then having Corsair commercials despite it not having the 16.8 million advertised keys. Albeit your point to a lesser extent, he is a hypocrite.

They had only the visuals to go by and I also thought it was pretty silly but maybe this time he saw it in person and found that it worked very well.

I do think that it was a bit contradictory when I watched that video, I did not see the WAN show when Luke and Linus were discussing the Waterforce, but I'm sure that it would have some mentioning of the implementation and price. 

The little interface things is hardly something to get excited about.

I dunno, Jayz2Cents trashed it in his review, and I doubt he's worried about it. the Waterforce contraption is nothing more than a showpiece, or a crowdpleaser to gather attention.

He doesn't need to laugh, why didn't he say his original opinion in front of them ?? if it's because they will stop dealing with him then that's their problem, he should have said his honest opinion not make the upper guys happy.  

 

Yeah, i dont think that being uber critical in front of them would end very well. They do have other great products which i'm sure he would like :P

So that makes him a hypocrite if he doesn't say his honest opinion and a lair too.

...and that's coming from someone who almost built his own one of these from scratch with Accelero Hybrid II's (but there's no way I'd pay 3000 for it).

 

Also, they should have just stopped at two cards. Seriously, I'd probably buy that, if it was competitive.
