My father is a tech-manual for all computer related things. (Exept for some kinds of code)

This exactly how my brother and I started our company. We were/are always helping our family with tech questions/builds all kinds of crap honestly haha, and we just finally decided we wanted to get paid for it! We've always loved LTT, you guys are great! We are happy to be joining the forms :)

I'm the tech support guy for everyone in my family but one of my uncles. He knows a lot about tech stuff, and got me into it, until I eventually learned it all better than him. He was tech support for my entire family until that moment, and when I realized how many people needed my help all the time, he told me "all on you now sucker" and now it's my problem instead of his.

 

On the plus side, he pays for me every time we go paintballing (every 2 weeks, so there's that)

Me, not only my family, but most of my close friends as well

 

Some of my dad's friend also call for me ........ whom I try to avoid, since explaining this stuff to them (not just fixing problem, they want explanation in detail) is just not worth very little time I have at home

My brother knows how to use browser(more or less), he can play games and... well.. looks like thats it, and vote "Who is the most tech savvy in your family" goes to him.
Parents doesn't even use PC, I just have to reinstall windows when my brother screws something over, or clear dust from time to time of CPU heat sink.

I do all my own stuff now, but that's just googling things, my dad got me into it, but he used to program hospital machines and now programs rocket computers, so yeah. It's sorta rocket science?

The only reason they are not peasants is because of you, please tell them the error of their ways so they learn

My dad and I do all the family tech support. My brother, who knows his way around many programming languages and is a beast at most of them, still doesn't even know how to put together a working PC tho. I have no idea how that happened.

Same with my computing teacher, he doesnt know how to put a computer together but apparently knows 20 programming lanugugaes

He uses it as an excuse to teach us 5 languages in 2 months cos we can "handle it"

Me and my dad are equal now and we always talk about stuff. I usually complain about how slow stuff is and he usually explains how they did it in the old days
