It probably cost Apple less to pay the fine than to argue it. It's like dropping a $1 when you're paid $3600/hour. If it takes more than a second to pick it up, it's literally not worth your time and effort to pick it up

Even though I'm not a fan of apple, this is still a patent troll and it shouldn't be happening.
