Still no desk, so no pics. But... I finally updated my BIOS from F3 to F5 so I can overclock. Just a quick 5 minute job got me this. Max temp was 54C and 1333RPM (on the stock cooler). I have a very quiet curve going.

Keep it going have mine at 4.0 with stock cooler 1.135v temps stay around 65-70 in a nes

I can probably push higher tomorrow. I have to do crap for school. But keep in mind, my temps are with Intel XTU doing a 5 minute test, and this was a 3-5 minute job, including updating the BIOS.

I don't know about that... I won't really want to push my voltage much higher than 1.25v, just for temps' sake. 1.3v will be the highest I go.

Just FYI, I found that xtu didn't push the cpu as hard as OCCT. I had a stable OC running xtu, but as soon as i ran OCCT it bluescreened. I had to add a whole .02v to the cpu to make it stable. ;)

@1.25v I bet you are about 4.2- 4.3 prime95 stable with your stock cooler no more than 75c *just guessing*

 

tomorrow I get my new low profile cooler see if it makes a difference,even if it cools as good as the stock cooler but quieter I'll be happy!.

I'm hoping I can get a Hyper 212 EVO for Christmas, as well as a DAC for my netbook, and the surprise for Athena. On a side note, my keyboard should be at my mom's by now (a Dell RT7D5JTW).

Kind of... Unsure about my chip right now. This is the best OC I can get right now. Temps still don't go much higher than 60C, but an extra 100MHz seems to make Windows come up with a BSOD.
