Project Angl3d Ti - Custom PC with dual water cooling loop, vertical GTX 1080Ti sponsored by ASUS ROG, EK Water Blocks, be quiet!, Teamgroup and Enermax. A huge thank you to all of them, making this extraordinary build possible. The inspiration started when I created custom gaming PC Zeuligan and instantly fell in love with the design of the GTX 1080 Ti. When ASUS released their new VR headset with the amazing hexagon design I just knew I had to create a build inspired by the two. I also want to create a build that is the opposite of Zeuligan. More tech and modern with harder line

Hello All, After drooling over the builds here for a while I am finally doing one of my own. I cannot afford to build a whole system so I am going to reuse the case from a Dell Dimension 4100, the HDD from my current Inspiron 530S, Core 2 Duo and the Gigabyte GT 640 I got last year. (I got the GT 640 b/c I was on a budget and I have cpu bottlenecks even with the GT 640). The plan is to add a real GPU, CPU and case when I have money, next fall maybe. I think I should be good on the z97 platform for a few years. Parts NEW CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 $69.99 Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI

Hello, I'm 16 years old making my first custom modded PC built in a desk. PART 1: This is a picture after painting the desk - it was brown which is no good to me - I've also built a white small bench where the motherboard is going to be placed on (add-ons in this cabin: RGB light on the top with a fan and another fan downthere) . After making the cabin I've drilled those two hinges on the side where am going to connect them to a small window. Time to put some things on the desk : Poor cable management but that doesn't matter aslong it's hidden right? Lol I'v

Dell Optiplex 755 Hackintosh (Help might be needed!) Hello everyone, so I have not been all that active on the forum recently but now that school has slowed down I am able to focus on some projects of mine So basically the goal of this build is to make a working Hackintosh out of an Optiplex 755 computer running either Yosemite or El Captain. Now I know this has done many times before but I think it is about time I do my own and seeing I have some parts to throw in and make it a decent power house well why not? Hopefully if anyone here has done a hackintosh using

Hello people, I thought maybe it was time to start a build log for this puppy, after I've held off doing much with it (for various reasons) for an embarrassingly long time. I originally received the MBX MKII in December of 2016. For various reasons it was stuck in storage for a long time though, and I only finished building a basic build in it in October last year. But rather than dwell on the past, I'm focusing on now - I have a lot of time, and I've mostly sorted out my things here after a recent move. So now we're building, albeit somewhat in steps. For one, I'm still working to

So up until now, I've just used laptops, but I finally decided to build a pc. I just recently graduated college and got a decent job, so I have some money to work with, but I also have student loans to pay off and a wedding coming up, so I needed to keep it reasonable. I really enjoy virtualization and I've wanted a fully virtualized system for a while now for several reasons, on top of that I found out about the $75 E5-2670 cpus, and I had my starting point. This build will be a dual headed gaming rig for myself and fiance, a nas, and a development pipeline server

Jump to the newest post here ↓↓↓↓ Hi I'm NotSoEpicMods you can also call me Josh. Long time ago back in 2008 I made one of my largest(literally) most expensive PC purchases and that was the $300 Cooler Master Cosmos S case. To this day I still see it as one of the most beautiful off the shelf cases out there hence the build/project. While I still see it as an amazing case it does lack in a lot of areas that modern cases strive in and almost make it easy to build a nice looking average pc in(no offence but it's true with all the cable management stuff built into higher end c

Hi I found a cheap vic 20 online for 34.99 bucks used and I consider that a bargain, I was already aware that it would not turn on but I tried to fix it so basically this is the cpu and this is the ram module and I have already checked out all the other componuts besides these so what I want to do is check the address and data lines between the cpu and ram to see if theres any break. So assuming I would start with data line zero nd and I look for current correct? Well i found out its all working in proper order so then

So I didn't feel like my system was really in need of an upgrade but I wanted to scratch that PC building itch, so I decided it was time to try my hand at water cooling. And even though I'd not done it before why not start the hard way with a full custom loop and hardline tubing! Now I have a full time job and a young child so my time is limited, this could take me a couple of months to finish so bear with me. Colour scheme, I really wanted Red and White, I struggled to find a completely white case so I have gone for the NZXT S340 which altho is black insi

Soooooo not sure what goes and what doesn't, I kind of read the rules thing, definitely didn't lurk and learn but instead just jumping in. I mean what's the worst that happens I use a comma in a thread instead of a semi-colon and the punctuation Nazis storm my house; insult my life's work, and I'm forced to watch my thread be deleted and cry myself to sleep. Not like that hasn't happened before so nothing to lose. No regerts. So lets start off with a dream. about 7 years ago, before I had kids and the state showed me some paperwork that appeared to have my signature saying I was ma

I've had a pc built years ago when I was in high school by a family member. After using it for about 6 years now I think it's time for a clean fresh build. This time I'm taking on the task and have planned out the build and have order most of the components. I'll list my build out and discuss why I picked what I did. Case: NZXT S340 Elite in matte white CPU: Intel i7 6800k Motherboard: Gigabyte X99 Designare Ram: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb (4 x 4gb) 3000 Graphics Card: Asus GTX 1070 STRIX SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500gb CPU Cooler: NZXT X61 Kraken

Hello to everyone who finds this thread! I'm pretty new to this part of the LTT community. I found the channel a few months ago and really enjoyed the presentation and content, and technically joined the forums three months ago, just to jump into a giveaway thing from Razer. I tend to keep closed and quiet personally, but after browsing around, this place seems incredibly friendly and helpful, and I'm hoping to come here as a resource for help, and offer my own advice and experience when and where I can. With that said, here's what's going on in here: • • •

Firstly thank you to those mentioned in the above image for supporting my endeavors once again! I'm very excited to start my next personal project R1.0 INDUSTRIAL, after several months of collaborations it's great to be back in full control deciding my own specification. Not only that but setting the pace myself and taking the time to photograph everything and get it all out on the forums! So a little writing about the project first to get things going, much like LIGHTNING this is centered around a very special piece of hardware and providing it with all of the power and co

Hi guys, BucketInABucket here! This is the concept of the rig I posted about in the introductions thread, but I'm here to document the process in full. It’s…kind of long, and still ongoing, but I thought I’d start it anyways! Right, let’s begin. I grew up around computers. Not just shop-bought pre-mades, but actual hand-built towers. My dad was, fortunately or unfortunately depending on who you ask, a very big fan of custom-built PCs. Every few years, he would map out a rig for me and then build it right in front of my eyes. As I grew older, I had more say, but I could never r

I know these things have been done before and by people better at this than I, but that's a terrible reason not to do something cool. The real impetus for me was finding some digital photos of a similar build I did a decade and a half ago. (Album here) I was pretty damn proud of this thing when I was a wee boy, but looking back the overwhelming though was: I could do so much better now. Shortly afterward, the new low profile 1050 Ti was announced by MSI, and in quick succession I found ungreedy's build here on these very forums. After that, there was no hope; I was going to build my own.

Project BATTLEGROUNDS This is a little project that I thought of, and posted about already. It is an Orange and Black themed build, with super minor and basic case/SSD/anything else mod. I will be spray painting a collage of things from the game PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS on the side panel, and any other mods I think of. PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a survival battle royale type game where 100 players are dropped on an island and you loot houses for weapons and armor and if you're the last one alive you win, that is the most basic explanation of the game I can give.

The Cassette Deck New project finally on its way, il be modding this old Fisher cassette deck to host my build. Plan is to keep as much of it working or to give it a new function as possible. I would like the audio outs to work, id like a cassette to spin if put in there and the VU meters should move around. One of these buttons is going to be made into the power button for the system, probably not the real one as that switch stays closed while power is on and that would just make it stuck bootlooping becuase of the powerbutton Im thinking the play button would be cool to use

Hey all I really wanted to show off my build because I’m incredibly proud of it! Plus I’m only 18 I originally started out building this PC in a old Corsair Carbide back in 2013, I was only in the 7th grade!!! I used Neweggs and Linus’ videos for assistance as many fellow newbies back then did too. After completing this build I pretty much set my entire attention and life goal on computers. To be later defined as Computer Engineering! I’m also incredibly proud of my overclocking capabilities with these parts, you can see exactly what I’m talking about by checking out th

As of the fall, I will be a PhD student, and need to build a rig for running my models in Stata and R. Not at all related to that, I want to play games on the weekends. I have built intel systems in the past, and I'm excited to make an AMD build this time around. Additionally, this will be the first build I put together with my girlfriend, so I'm going to go for clean cable management and solid aesthetics. Time for the part list! CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Pro RGB MB: Asus X570 Tuf Gaming Plus Wifi RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3200

Hey all, So this is my first time posting to the forum. I am trying to build a beast of a liquid cooling setup. I am the Software Engineering Lead on a team to build a robot that can theoretically mine for future Martian colonies. We are using some standard off the shelf parts and a budget of several thousand US dollars. The problem is we want to cool this without the use of fans. Basically, we are going to take a cooling block and pump liquid around the CPU that then is pumped into a massive radiator array. Pictures and comments will follow, but I just wanted to see what people t

I'm planning to get a gaming pc next year around early-mid 2018. I plan to use it as my gaming machine mainly since I already have a laptop that I use as my "workstation." Some of the games I plan to play include Space Engineers, Monster Hunter World, Planetside 2, WarFrame, Destiny 2, Dark Souls, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Witcher, and a few more at medium to high settings at around 40-50 fps. (though I perfer nintendo games mainly) Do you guys think this is a good build for under $700? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CFxz4C (keeping in mind I'm getting windows 10 from Kinguin)

Well one day I thought it would be cool to build a mini itx pc with an r9 nano. Shortly after that Kyle made a video of his itx pc in a node 202 with a 6700k and an R9 nano. After this I gave in and ordered all the parts. i5 4570T, shitty gigabyte h81 motherboard, 16gb ram, Sapphire R9 nano, 480gb ssd. After I build the PC I benchmarked it to find out it's slower then my 380 because of the CPU bottleneck, so I got an i7 4790 used with scratches on Ebay for $250. I got the CPU did not test my PC again since I was busy working on my main PC. Then one day I thought why the fuck not custom waterco
