Oh that's cool. I've got a PowerEdge 2600 base model that I maxed out the CPU's in, and then threw 4GB of DDR1 ECC RAM into. Has less than 1K hours on it. and its from 2003. got it for nothing so I'd say Its doing pretty good.

I've decided to wait until Christmas to do the "Glam" shots, and there is a very good reason behind it. Which, you will just have to wait and see until then to see what it turns out to be. PSU comes tomorrow (My mom failed. Again).

Wait for broadwell, the 4690 is really similar to the 4670 but with your motherboard you still get support for broadwell

When my dad gets off his ass and gets the damn camera, I will. Right now it's roasting next to me. The video card idles at 55-60C... There are some issues not related to airflow.

 

And the cable management is shit.

Yup. On a side note, the cable management is shit, but now I just have to wait for my dad to get the fucking camera out. ETS2 maxed out at 1080p is nice. Next step is to get all of my games off granny's computer when I go up tomorrow.

 

And figure out why it won't apply my damn overclock, since the poor little Pentium grabs my 7950 by the balls and kills it.

 

One more sad note, I had to take the 480 out (at least for now) since it was pretty damn loud, and was just adding to the heat in my case (since both it and my 7950 idled at 60C or so).

yeah i mean anything other than the 90-series chipset boards when the pentium originally released nothing actually supported the chip anyways but now any board can oc the thing

Small update: If I get my desk this weekend like I want to (all depending on my dad, argh), I'll take some pics of Athena with its slightly better cable management (although still shit in this case, can't wait for that surprise this Christmas) and with it in its new home.
