Help deciding on a sports car? ['Murica]

Hello all!

I'm buying a car. However, I don't know which one to get...

I want a sports car, that is a joy to drive. I'm looking between five.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, Mazda MX-5, and the Nissan 370z.

Of the cars listed above, what do you guys think?

Do you think one is better than the rest? Any help would be awesome :)

The Mazda and the Nissan have been removed from this list, because I don't fit... (6 foot 5 inches.)

If insurance in the US is anything like in the UK, you're going to be paying more for insurance than the actual car...

Insurance isn't what I'm asking about :)

I've got that figured out.

Both the BRZ and FR-S has shitty interior. For the price of the car it's pathetic.

Subaru BRZ for me. I prefer rear wheel drive over front and only reason I picked it over the Scion is because I like the Subaru version and name better.

Yes, it is.

I think he would be least raped by the Genesis.

But then again, we're trying to assign degrees of rape here

Subaru BRZ looks good: 2 L engine, 200 HP, RWD, no turbo - a sensible choice, but since you're going crazy ... go for a Nissan 370Z. Go big or go home! :)

That's what I'd do.

I think the genesis turbo would be he best daily driver, at least it has a nice interior.

370 if you're not going to do anything to it.

BRZ if you are planning some modifications later.

Good luck with those insurance rates.

Miatas have some of the lowest insurance rates, especially for the type of car it is.

The Genesis coupe is more of a grand touring car, like the Mustang; it feels very big. Its inputs (steering, clutch, shifter) aren't as good as the others. The 370Z is big as well, but feels small on the inside, almost cramped. Its inputs are better than the Genesis, but still behind the others IMO. The NC Miata is also pretty small on the inside and convertibles have their own unique annoyances, but if open air is something you want - there you go. Its chassis and inputs are very good, but the suspension is very soft for sporting purposes. The FR-S or BRZ are what I'd pick. I think they have the best blend of chassis, inputs, power (though they have quirks), safety, consumable cost, economy, and practicality for a sports car. They're also very fun to drive!

I'd go for the Nissan, it's got a V6, which is very powerful for the car, and its interior are pretty nice. Also it looks the best out of any of the cars imho.

The Mazda looks the coolest. I think a Hyundai velociter would be fun, sporty, and more space, but that's my personal opinion.

The normal veloster is a joke, it is just an accent with a less practical body, the turbo at least has a nice amount of power for the size of the car but it is still an accent...
