Same.  But props to the guy who came up with the idea, because people keep buying them in droves.  Might as well cash in while you can.  Worked for Ty Beanie Babies, Cabbage Patch Kids, and many others.

Looks like I can easily get single/dual side -Rs and single side -RWs, but the dual side RWs are getting rare - can still buy some but for like $25 a piece, although they probably weren't much cheaper back then

Well, technically, monitors.  And if someone is needing them professionally, it's not entirely unreasonable.  But yeah diminishing returns for most.

They aren't ear buds they have better drivers and very good sound sealing.

Also compared to pro iems.

Let me put into perspective exactly what you play for what hardware:

MWP22.thumb.jpg.e41a74f358a6524826dec2281fa42b9d.jpg

Conventionally good is how a few people describe them, sound decent, good for wireless earbuds especially, they are most commonly playing relatively normal audio formats, nobody who owns airpods really knows what a flac or anything is, theyre playing MP3's or streaming audio:

320kbps.png.ae81384b4203aa7eda0964715cfb4b5b.png

A very conventional MP3, 320kbps, 44.1khz, nothing crazy. This is the peak of what for example, Spotify can manage.

Sounds ok.

Heres what im listening to:

dsd256.png.47a1815114b8114817742132b8b5ede0.png

decode that difference if you will

theres a reason why myself and many other people would want iems/earbuds or even headphones well past the 1000$ range, you wouldnt really know the difference until you heard it, and ive heard it, this isnt even the only pair of iems i own that are this expensive, ive got QDC dmagics which are another 1600$, and moondrop solis which are 1100$

I work in the sound industry, normal earbuds will never cut.

1k is spent into quality, sound quality and a stupidly good warranty/replacement.

I currently have a pair of Sony  mdr 7506 a 100usd pair of studio monitor no frills just a tool that does its job well, but Sony gave the wiring diagram and the 3rd party after market support is awesome.(not to mention the mods)

SD cards, two for my raspberry pi's and one for a dash cam. They only cost me about 3.80£ each and overall they're great value considering the performance and the ratings they have like A1 app performance.

25 bucks a piece? They were about three bucks back then :D.
I just checked, I can still get a 10-pack single side DVD-R for 15 bucks here in the Netherlands, Easier than I thought!
https://www.amazon.nl/MediaRange-Inkjet-Surface-Printable-MR430/dp/B001G61NUI

RW is a tricky one. Best I can find in the US (in case that's where you are) is 3 for 18 bucks, single sided:
https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Maxell-DVD-RW-3-pack-videocámara-min/dp/B00G6SL1GM/
Couldn't find them nearly as cheap as the -R's in the Netherlands though so if I can help you with a few packs it may be worth shipping from here. Drop me a message if there's anything I can do

I just checked my own pile of -R/RW's and it's only mini CD-R's for my CD mavica 😄

I meant the few remaining dual sided RWs (Sony branded) are $25, the rest are much cheaper. Single side Rs 10-pack for 8, single side generic RWs 10-pack for 10.

Old KB suffered from some uh.... Liquid related damage... Only knocked out the num pad, but any excuse for something new. I was going to get something regardless when I finally upgrade my PC.

Also, the RGB craze... I get it now

I just got this last Thursday. Benchmade Bugout. Loving it, have used it several times, and I have not de-digited any of my hands (or feet) yet. 😄

Now I want a Spiderco blade, and a Leatherman Wave+. 😧 Gotta stop looking at knives... Gotta stop...

Also, on this note, I've got a CRKT McGinnis Summa with a totally ruined blade that I'm going to try and get repaired, as well as have all of my CRKT and Kershaw blades sharpened. 😄 The Summa has nearly de-digited my hands, numerous times, before I ruined the blade (the one I've got has a serrated blade, and I destroyed the serration).
