I'm stoked! Just verbally confirmed with seller that the headphone can be had for a price within my budget. Only snag is, I'll have to wait while seller gets the headphone he wants before he'd release the can to me,,,,,not a biggie as I'm willing to wait. But if all works out, I should get the can in a month to two (I can be patient......but only IF I have to). Oh yes, reason why I'm excited, even more so than when I'd gotten my HD800 and AKG K812, is due to this being even more expensive........hopefully, in a month or so, I'd be the proud owner of a HiFiMan HE1000.

Someone gave me a card with $15 on it 'cause I helped with their RPG Maker issues, (and did some spritework, minor) so I bought these two titles. One title for my siblings (because they are just one of those FF fans ya know?) and the Batman title for myself, because I don't have any and that is shameful as a DC comics freak.

Final Fantasy VII (Steam gift)

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition (Steam)

Now I just gotta go run out and do some shopping and stuff, so add a ton of food here too. haha

Got this yesterday. We used to have the bigger one (the one with diablo 1, the huge ass cd cases for D2 and LOD and the comic books) but shit happened. Wanted to go full retard retro and buy the SC (just for the books) and WC3 Battle chests (shit struck three times) as well but I can wait. Been playing since yesterday and almost on act III :3

Two copic marker refills to draw and panel line the things I love.

Heh, not a done deal yet though, but it's looking good so far. With a bit of luck, I should get it on the first week of May......I'll be running it with my Oppo HA-1 and my Gustard X12/H10 stack since it come with SE and balanced cables as well. It should cost me about 2500USD, but I think it'd be well worth it. I'm keeping my other cans (AKG K812, HD800, PS1000, GS1000i, Denon AH-D7000/AH-D2000, DT990/600 Premium, MrSpeakers Alpha Dog, modded Fostex T50RP w/Alpha Pads, ATH-A900X LTD, Fidelio X1). The HE1000 would be my last and final Hurrah on the headphone front, I will then focus my energy (and money) on Polaris and Zen perhaps. I might sell off my D2000 and Fidelio X1.

The NuForce uDAC-3 I'd gotten recently is surprisingly good, I think it colors the sound a little as I think I hear a slight bass boost, but it is very fun sounding. Amazingly, it can drive my planar mags easily enough, and even my DT990 600Ohms can be driven by it quite easily enough, at least it gets loud enough for me with ample headroom to spare. Anyway, so looking forward to May!!!

Should've wait for iPhone 7 man,

Meh. A few tweaks here & there to the internals maybe a new CPU & Motion Co-Processor. But probably nothing too staggering from the 6S. if I got a regular 6 i'd be more inclined to agree with you to be quite honest. Either way this will do me for a few years & it'll hold pretty alright resale value as long as I take care of it!

Knowing you you'll continue buying awesome cans that make me jelly. Not a lot that can  top the he1000 but you'll find something. Probably some electrostatics? ;)

Canjam socal is soon maybe you can check something out, like the Shangri-la.

Suuuuure, the good old 'endgame headphone' - myth. ;)

Knowing you you'll continue buying awesome cans that make me jelly. Not a lot that can  top the he1000 but you'll find something. Probably some electrostatics? ;)

Canjam socal is soon maybe you can check something out, like the Shangri-la.

Mark my word, no more audio related gear after I get the HE1000! Besides, I ain't made of money ya know, I'd be existing on a diet of instant noodles and cheap takeouts for the next couple of months. I've always wanted the HEK (HF nickname for the HE1000) and since my friend can get one directly from China at a good price, I figured why not? With the HEK, I'd have a good mix of high end dynamic and orthodynamic cans to mess around with. Plus, I have the Oppo HA-1, Gustard H10/X12 stack, Fostex HPA4 DAC combo and the NuForce uDAC-3.......more than enough to keep me occupied and happy. I would be putting my energy and cash into my next big move, Polaris and 8 core Zen!

They just swamped the camera without the camera flash. I am testing a clear and diffused one here.

I love this little tester :3
