Here's one of my cat that I took in a bit of a rush (hence the portrait-ness).

Ojo_edit by Travis McClelland, on Flickr

Camera: Galaxy SIII

Aperture: ƒ/2.6

ISO: 125

Exposure: 1/15

Camera mode: Macro

Ah I like. I think the only criticism I would have would be to take the picture in horizontal view. You would get more of the cat. Plus It could be a tad brighter, (And I mean a LITTLE) only to get the head exposed a little bit more without overduing the carpet.

I don't see what the rush was for (For the portrait-ness) It looks like the cat is in a calm state. Hell if my cat did this then I would go run and get my SLR lol. My cat is always in a hyper state. never staying still.

8/10 in real world. 9/10 for me because its a cat lol

So the story behind this pic was I was digging through my ICloud drive and I randomly stumbled upon it. it absolutely looks amazing and I will never take a photo like it ever again. I Know it was shot on my D3200, but I don't know the settings as it was edited and exported as JPEG. The dog's name is Faith :)

Self criticism would be that its not zoomed in, but it was one of those things where I had a wide angle lens on and just so happened to take it.

Judging by the "_merged" in the name, I'm going to assume it's a panorama. And if that's the case, it's bloody good. My only whiny bit is that there's like a vignette, but in a way it makes it look better. Solid 9.888888888888888888 by me.

Yep, it's merged. I wanted test how it would look. Haha, I even added a little post vignette, because I thought it made it look better :)

All you need to do is set up your camera's exposure in a way that favors a slower shutter speed. So, you have a slower shutter speed that results in blurr, but then Lower ISO and Higher Aperture number. You then just focus on the moving object, and follow it. :)

Fun shot, but with practice you can get a really cool effect. 6/10.

Looks bad to me tbh.... everything is just blurry for this to be a nice pic the dog would have to be a little more in focus 7/10

took this in st.john canada off my cruise ship.

5/10 It is very over exposed. Subject is interesting, but the blown out sky and the angle just dont work for me.

here is a shot i took at lake taho this past weekend.

8/10 subject matter is a little weak but the composition is on point

Its a shame the railing take up so much of the frame 5-10.

5/10 on the first one 4/10 on the second. The first is decent but the subject matter isnt focused enough. the second one is a nice picture but its boring and the second flower is half out of focus.

8/10 The framing makes me feel like the bottom half of the picture is missing. I think it would be better if you got the cross section of the road and the pillar in the frame.

Took a photo of a random cat.

Ahh I love pictures like this. The area that is in focus could be a little bigger, but that is me nit-picking a lot. 8/10 :)

Wow, I really like it!!

Pros:

Location

Framing

Focus

I also really like how the bridge gives so much depth to the photo! (Nice angle)

Cons:

Overall the photos lighting is just not that great. (Half is super bright and half is very dark)

Overall: I really like this image and its got a lot to look at :) 8.5/10

Nice bokehhh and angle & 3rds. However there isn't anything interesting in focus. The image is a little bleak for me 7/10.

I think it's a beautiful photo which I can see on someone's wall.  I can see this being printed large.  Very abstract and painterly.  The colors work well for me.  Just curious, but what is it exactly?  You used some kind of movement to create this, I'm guessing. 9.5/10

Jusat a heads up, you should have rated the photo that came before yours.  No worries, but just remember for next time.  Its a cool street shot but there are a couple things I'd try to do differently.  I would have liked to have seen the the top of the window.  And possibly more of the door way in the bottom.  Maybe a shot taken two steps back would have worked better?  I really like how you captured the cat on the sill looking down.  I wonder what he/she is thinking as he is sitting lazy and free while there are a bunch of poor saps (other cats, as there is a cat in the sign) locked up in cages below him???  ;)  7/10

My first attempt at capturing stars.  I was at a friend's cabin for the past few days and we had one night where the stars came out.  I like the colors in the sky in this shot....  The boat not so much... **PLEASE RATE THIS PHOTO**

Thank you for the comment.

Yes I know I should have stepped a bit back but I wanted to capture the moment when the cat was looking down to the shop. I liked the story behind it and my finger was itching :)

With shots like these there is just not much time to compose it 100%... or I'm not that good yet.

I like the first photo a lot. Nice composition, lovely lighting and I actually don't mind the boat, it adds to the feeling of the picture. What I do find annoying is the little dots of light at the other sides of the lake. You could have photoshoped those out (clone stamp tool ftw!)

Here's a couple I wanted to share with you from Gamescom 2015. Was there Wednesday and Thursday, rate which ever one you want, I just like these. (note: pictures were only corrected in terms of graininess and lighting, no other post was done yet)

EXIF

Shot with a Nikon D5200. All photo's, except for the freestyle motocross ones, where shot in P mode with Exposure correction on (~1.0 - 1.7). Freestyle pictures where shot on manual mode with shutterspeed of 1250 and a higher aparture.

7/10 because it's just a plane landing. It really does nothing for me. I do believe you could edit it to make it pop more. I do like the slower shutter speed which gives it motion in the background and propeller. That makes it look more real.

The highlights seem like too much for me, maybe tone that down a bit . Besides that, the background looks really really grainy. You don't have EXIF info up with the original settings, but what was the ISO set at? It looks like it was kind of high for this picture (could have probably done with lower ISO, slower shutter speed or something).

Besides that, I do miss a bit of color on her. The underwear is all black and she already has a darker skin tone, it makes her seem a bit...ermm..bland? Sorry if that comes a cross rude, it's not ment that way. Maybe it would have been possible to put some colored underwear on her. A light red or something like that. Would have introduced some more color.

Thanks for the feedback. everything looks fine on my calibrated PA249Q. I will work on trying to match across all browsers. I do want to try a better calibration tool in the future.

It was getting a bit dark outside so I had to raise the ISO. I used a einstien640 in a 48 inch soft to camera right. I forgot power settings. She chose the outfit as I didn't know what she would be wearing.

I enjoy honest feedback so I didn't take it as being rude.
