No it for finding wires you plug it in the cat 5 socket and then got to you box to see which one it is.

Oh awesome, so if I have a server at home and something goes wrong I can find which cable is making the problem quite easily with this :).

Yea also if you are trying to find out which wire is which you plug it in to the wall of you specific room and then go to your wire box in you house (if you have one) and connect you house up!

To change the thermal paste... or so did a friend of mine do so. It wasn't mine, he took it apart for curiosity or something it was overheating and shutting down, and I told him that if he took it apart all the way he better change thermal paste or it might not be good :).
