That could be almost everything. Including broken solder joints and PCB traces. I think its the best to just RMA it.

True, but I don't know why it would crash so often in one PC and go for a full month (folding most of that time) without crashing in another. My system is much older than the owner's system, but I don't know that the age has anything to do with it.

If it crashes again I'm just going to see about getting it replaced.

Well due to power constraints im not going to be able to get much folding done, probably only a couple million points per week if i had to guess.
IM optiomising for power and about 70% power limit with +550 mem is what i can get out og my 1070ti, around 1.1m ppd
gonna try to do 2wus a day, sucks that i cant do more

I could use some help with this!

Anyone having trouble recently on Project 18448? Specifically with an Ellesmere card? My 480 was doing rapid fire crashes until I way turned down the clocks. Was also doing weird behaviour with only allowing 80W despite being at 64C. Only started doing this stuff yesterday.

Damn I didn't even realize that we started a few hours ago! Thankfully I was letting my daily system run all day to make some efficiency tweaks.

Just a single 3080 12gig working but I'm still blown away at the improvement over my previous RX 5600XT.

After just shy of 8hrs and hot spot temp hasn't broken 65C. Not bad at all for a single 360 rad for the system.

Though moving from an upstairs room to a basement certainly helps. Ambient near the PC still hasn't gone above 20C. In the previous room (a third of the size on top of being about 22-25C ambient without the PC running) would end up reaching 35C after a few hours of gaming with the same GPU.

Not bothering with CPU folding with this system. The temps aren't worth it for me. Keeping the system on Windows power saver helps keep its temps lower since it's constantly being polled and doesn't seem to impact folding performance.

Well, I think I found out the issue. Look at all those memory errors. Back to stock memory frequency and it has yet to crash. (Knocked repeatedly on wood)

Been sleeping a lot lately and between that and work I haven't had time to reconfigure my Folding rig. Oops. Guess it's just my 3080 for now.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.

Yeah I discovered the hard way that just because the UPS shows 75% load, doesn't mean the transient when it kicks over under that load wont cause it to fail.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) + GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)

If its a hardware issue, it can be very dependent on the cooling situation, how it sits in the socket, if its moved etc...

I have had some devices in use for weeks in my workshop to test them and they almost immediately failed when the owner got them back. Sometimes they used different connectors or it was a lot hotter and more humid where they used it etc... but every time i got those back, they worked perfectly for me. These things can get pretty weird. Although these mysteries are quite rare.

Yeah thinking about it the problem I had makes total sense, it was within the rating but that short time switching power sources will cause the PSU caps to drain and the spike from them recharging pushed it over the limit.  You'd presumably need an active UPS to avoid that issue.

What's up with the official F@H statistics btw?

Their page has me at Rank 1,010 of 2,939,788 but Extreme Overclocking shows Rank 991.

As for team statistics, rather bizarre the rank on there sorts by global rank rather than team rank when the rest of the statistics are team specific.
