We’ve just raised an $18M Series A round to pull in the future of consumer electronics, with Spark Capital as our lead investor. We couldn’t have done it without you. The immense and immediate interest from all of you in our mission and in the Framework Laptop made it clear that we’re on the right track. This industry is long overdue for deeply personal products that are designed to last. This was as obvious to all of you as it was to us, and our partners at Spark have full belief in it too.

My thoughts

Really interested to see what they do with this capital. Hopefully it means they can start expanding into other products or release an ARM version of their laptop. Also hopefully this means they can start releasing in more countries.

I think an amd partnership is more important than going into arm for them , as arm will take way more investment and time , also i dont think so that windows on arm is that good yet .

I want to see a ThinkPad like trackpoint. That would be the selling point for me.

MXM is dead.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Hope they find a more modular response, and how they are going to be able to support older versions.

so yeah, either they do well or it's not. wonder which path they will atleast take.

$18 million isn't going to go as far as you people think. HP and Dell are worth billions.

do realize they will get credit now based on this 18million if needed

and presales also
