Monster was my first anime ever. I've watched only ~10 episodes before dropping it because the plot seemed too predictable, but I wasn't a fan of animes in general back then. I absolutely love FMA:B and Gintama though. Other series that I've enjoyed are Death Parade, Kuroko no Basket and Shingeki no Kyojin. I didn't like Tokyo Ghoul and No Game No Life (don't kill me).

It's fine, in tokyo ghoul MC doesn't do anything till the last episode, literally.

 

 

What about miraii nikki, Steins:Gate, Guilty crown?

The manga is as great as the anime, but if you can't into reading then that's fine too. Honestly once you've seen the anime, you can visualize all the hand-slices and hear the words being read in your head anyway, so you're not missing those elements... you're just getting the interesting story progression (and it's getting pretty good).

Which chapter starts at the point where season 2 ends?

@eelnico09 I recall (or maybe it's just that EOS dementia) telling you that you'd probably like Josei titles more since they seem to have what you like and tend to have (different) but less bullshit tropes. Typically better quality due to very niche audience and lower gross output, so what manages to make it has a better chance of being better.

I clearly remember you mentioning nodame cantabile and Nana, i saved them on a notepad along with other tittles to watch at some point, but i don't think you said to me that i'd like josei tittles, i think i'd remember it

I'm not the type to be a conspiracist nut, but i'm 100% serious when I'm saying it's scaring me

They know I know you, they might know we know each other on steam, they know my steam profile, they know I go here too.

They're basically detectives tailing EVERYONE.

 

Them pushing me e-vape videos was fucking terrifying because I express absolutely zero interest in them but know someone who does and have been to a shop with them. They did this off knowing I know him and knowing where I was alone, then pushed it to YT and my phone.

 

legitimately fearful, feels like I'm only safe in my head. I don't have the knowledge, money, or time, to claim some privacy back.

That's a business idea btw. It already exists but nothing has been ubiquitous yet. Another thing I don't have time for.

Yeah i can see that happening, buuuuut, for 2 reasons i won't read the manga, appart from that.

 

1-I think the anime is going to be better, so i don't want to spoil the story and i probably wouldn't watch the anime if i know what's going to happen.

2-I'm scared of a bad/not good anime adaptation(though i'm almost sure the 1st 2 seasons are good adaptations)

True, reading the manga is certainly not an option everyone will want to do, but it's still a great manga, and I don't want people to get the wrong impression

I think it was somewhere in volume 17, chapter 93. It might be worth reading a few chapters to see how they compare to the anime, and you get a feel for how it reads.

I'd definitely give Monster a second try after I finish with Shingeki no Bahamut. I've watched Death Note and I liked it. I knew I was missing something when I was mentioning the animes I've liked.

I'm working on moving to Debian on my gaming PC as we speak/type. Once that's done, I'll be setting up my Debian server as my main router, then making it such that I can only connect to the internet via a VPN.

Then I get to explore the joys of scrubbing my existence from Google without deleting my Youtube account (because I actually use the thing). Probably not possible, but we'll see.

lol you should do what Wendell have done from Tek Syndicate.

He basically has a bot running on his computer that mimics a person going on random website 24/7, basically saturating all the data that Google has gathered from him.

think of it as manual bookmarking videos and a third party associating similar content and making recommendations

no way for Google to stop it and it would be cake for standard joe

 

at this point I'd rather let Google extort 5$ a month off of me instead of trying to upsell and market to me.

 

wonder what marketing and freemium will look like in GITS and Bladerunner style future.

Reminds me a lot of James Bond OPs if any of you guys have seen them (I assume many haven't). And the openings for James Bond movies (and this anime) are easily the most memorable. OP of James Bond films usually being the best part since nobody actually takes the movies seriously, being sugoi action and explosion porn.

James bond films are great for sunday afternoons, ghost in the shell music is great as well, but there's still not enough cyberpunk stuff out there to make use of it.
